Die Ältesten nun unter euch ermahne ich als ihr Mitältester und als der Zeuge der Leiden Christi, wie auch als Teilnehmer an der Herrlichkeit, deren Offenbarung bevorsteht:
RUEGO á los ancianos que están entre vosotros, yo anciano también con ellos, y testigo de las aflicciones de Cristo, que soy también participante de la gloria que ha de ser revelada:
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

weidet die euch anvertraute Herde Gottes und überwacht sie, nicht aus Zwang, sondern mit freudiger Bereitwilligkeit nach Gottes Willen, auch nicht in schnöder Gewinnsucht, sondern mit Hingebung,
Apacentad la grey de Dios que está entre vosotros, teniendo cuidado de ella, no por fuerza, sino voluntariamente; no por ganancia deshonesta, sino de un ánimo pronto;
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily; not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
auch nicht als Gewaltherrscher über die euch anvertrauten (Gemeinden), sondern als Vorbilder für die Herde;
Y no como teniendo señorío sobre las heredades del Señor, sino siendo dechados de la grey.
Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

dann werdet ihr auch, wenn der Erzhirte erscheint, den unverwelklichen Kranz der Herrlichkeit empfangen. –
Y cuando apareciere el Príncipe de los pastores, vosotros recibiréis la corona incorruptible de gloria.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Ebenso, ihr Jüngeren: seid den Ältesten untertan. Allesamt aber legt euch im Verkehr miteinander das Dienstgewand der Demut an, denn »Gott widersteht den Hoffärtigen, aber den Demütigen gibt er Gnade«.
Igualmente, mancebos, sed sujetos á los ancianos; y todos sumisos unos á otros, revestíos de humildad; porque Dios resiste á los soberbios, y da gracia á los humildes.

Dem leistet Widerstand in Glaubensfestigkeit; ihr wißt ja, daß die gleichen Leiden euren Brüdern in der ganzen Welt auferlegt werden.
Al cual resistid firmes en la fe, sabiendo que las mismas aflicciones han de ser cumplidas en la compañía de vuestros hermanos que están en el mundo.
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Der Gott aller Gnade aber, der uns berufen hat zu seiner ewigen Herrlichkeit in Christus, der wird euch nach einer kurzen Leidenszeit vollbereiten, festigen, stärken und gründen.
Mas el Dios de toda gracia, que nos ha llamado á su gloria eterna por Jesucristo, después que hubiereis un poco de tiempo padecido, él mismo os perfeccione, confirme, corrobore y establezca.
