E agora, uma palavra a vocês, os líderes da igreja. Eu também sou um líder; com os meus próprios olhos vi Cristo morrer na cruz; e eu também participarei da sua glória e da sua honra quando ele voltar. Colegas anciãos, este é o meu apelo a vocês:
RUEGO á los ancianos que están entre vosotros, yo anciano también con ellos, y testigo de las aflicciones de Cristo, que soy también participante de la gloria que ha de ser revelada:
The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

Pastoreiem o rebanho de Deus; cuidem dele com boa disposição e não de má vontade; não pelo que vocês ganharão com isso, mas pelo desejo de servir ao Senhor.
Apacentad la grey de Dios que está entre vosotros, teniendo cuidado de ella, no por fuerza, sino voluntariamente; no por ganancia deshonesta, sino de un ánimo pronto;
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily; not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
Não sejam tiranos, mas guiem o rebanho com o seu bom exemplo.
Y no como teniendo señorío sobre las heredades del Señor, sino siendo dechados de la grey.
Neither as being lords over God’s heritage, but being ensamples to the flock.

E, quando vier o Supremo Pastor, a recompensa de vocês será uma coroa gloriosa, que nunca perde o brilho.
Y cuando apareciere el Príncipe de los pastores, vosotros recibiréis la corona incorruptible de gloria.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away.

Vocês, homens mais jovens, sigam a liderança daqueles que são mais velhos. E todos vocês sirvam uns aos outros com um espírito humilde, pois Deus concede bênçãos especiais àqueles que são humildes, mas se opõe àqueles que são orgulhosos.
Igualmente, mancebos, sed sujetos á los ancianos; y todos sumisos unos á otros, revestíos de humildad; porque Dios resiste á los soberbios, y da gracia á los humildes.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Se vocês se humilharem debaixo da poderosa mão de Deus, em sua ocasião oportuna ele exaltará vocês.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Fiquem firmes. Confiem no Senhor; e lembrem-se de que outros cristãos ao redor do mundo estão passando pelos mesmos sofrimentos.
Al cual resistid firmes en la fe, sabiendo que las mismas aflicciones han de ser cumplidas en la compañía de vuestros hermanos que están en el mundo.
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Withstand him steadfast in your faith, knowing that your brothers who are in the world are undergoing the same sufferings.
Depois que vocês tiverem sofrido por um pouco de tempo, o nosso Deus de toda a graça lhes dará por meio de Cristo a sua glória eterna. Ele virá pessoalmente, tomará vocês e os colocará num lugar firme, e os fará mais fortes do que nunca.
Mas el Dios de toda gracia, que nos ha llamado á su gloria eterna por Jesucristo, después que hubiereis un poco de tiempo padecido, él mismo os perfeccione, confirme, corrobore y establezca.
