Die Ältesten, die unter euch sind, ermahne ich als Mitältester und Zeuge von Christus Leiden und Teilhaber der Herrlichkeit, die geoffenbart werden soll:
RUEGO á los ancianos que están entre vosotros, yo anciano también con ellos, y testigo de las aflicciones de Cristo, que soy también participante de la gloria que ha de ser revelada:

Weidet die Herde Gottes, die euch anvertraut ist, und haltet Aufsicht, nicht zwangsweise, sondern williglich, auch nicht schändlichen Gewinnes wegen, sondern aus Herzensgrund;
Apacentad la grey de Dios que está entre vosotros, teniendo cuidado de ella, no por fuerza, sino voluntariamente; no por ganancia deshonesta, sino de un ánimo pronto;
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;
shepherd the flock of God which is among you, exercising the oversight, not under compulsion, but voluntarily; not for dishonest gain, but willingly;
Nicht wie solche, die über die ihnen Zugewiesenen herrschen, sondern der Herde Vorbilder werden wollen;

Widersteht ihm fest im Glauben und seid eingedenk, daß dieselben Leiden auch über eure Brüder in der Welt ergehen.
Al cual resistid firmes en la fe, sabiendo que las mismas aflicciones han de ser cumplidas en la compañía de vuestros hermanos que están en el mundo.
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Aber der Gott aller Gnade, Der euch berufen hat zu Seiner ewigen Herrlichkeit in Christo Jesu, wird euch, nachdem ihr eine kleine Zeit gelitten habt, vollbereiten, stärken, kräftigen, auf festen Grund stellen.
Mas el Dios de toda gracia, que nos ha llamado á su gloria eterna por Jesucristo, después que hubiereis un poco de tiempo padecido, él mismo os perfeccione, confirme, corrobore y establezca.
