Eszog aber herauf Nahas, der Ammoniter, und belagerte Jabes in Gilead. Und alle Manner zu Jabes sprachen zu Nahas: Mache einen Bund mit uns, so wollen wirdirdienen.

Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabesh-gilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.
