Y SUBIÓ Naas Ammonita, y asentó campo contra Jabes de Galaad. Y todos los de Jabes dijeron á Naas: Haz alianza con nosotros, y te serviremos.

Da sprachen zu ihm die Ältesten zu Jabes: Gib uns sieben Tage, daß wir Boten senden in alle Grenzen Israels; ist dann niemand, der uns errette, so wollen wir zu dir hinausgehen.
Y Naas Ammonita les respondió: Con esta condición haré alianza con vosotros, que á cada uno de todos vosotros saque el ojo derecho, y ponga esta afrenta sobre todo Israel.
And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel.

Da kamen die Boten gen Gibea zu Saul und redeten solches vor den Ohren des Volks. Da hub alles Volk seine Stimme auf und weinete.
Entonces los ancianos de Jabes le dijeron: Danos siete días, para que enviemos mensajeros á todos los términos de Israel; y si nadie hubiere que nos defienda, saldremos á ti.
And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days’ respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee.

Und siehe, da kam Saul vom Felde hinter den Rindern her und sprach: Was ist dem Volk, daß es weinet? Da erzählten sie ihm die Sache der Männer von Jabes.

Und nahm ein Paar Ochsen und zerstückte sie und sandte in alle Grenzen Israels durch die Boten und ließ sagen: Wer nicht auszeucht, Saul und Samuel nach, des Rindern soll man also tun. Da fiel die Furcht des HERRN auf das Volk, daß sie auszogen, gleich als ein einiger Mann.
Y el espíritu de Dios arrebató á Saúl en oyendo estas palabras, y encendióse en ira en gran manera.
And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.

And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabesh-gilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.

Und des andern Morgens stellete Saul das Volk in drei Haufen; und kamen ins Lager um die Morgenwache und schlugen die Ammoniter, bis der Tag heiß ward; welche aber überblieben, wurden also zerstreuet, daß ihrer nicht zween beieinander blieben.

Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.

Da sprach das Volk zu Samuel: Wer sind sie, die da sagten: Sollte Saul über uns herrschen? Gebet sie her, die Männer, daß wir sie töten!
Y el día siguiente dispuso Saúl el pueblo en tres escuadrones, y entraron en medio del real á la vela de la mañana, é hirieron á los Ammonitas hasta que el día calentaba: y los que quedaron fueron dispersos, tal que no quedaron dos de ellos juntos.
And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.

Saul aber sprach: Es soll auf diesen Tag niemand sterben; denn der HERR hat heute Heil gegeben in Israel.
El pueblo entonces dijo á Samuel: ¿Quiénes son lo que decían: Reinará Saúl sobre nosotros? Dadnos esos hombres, y los mataremos.
And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.

Samuel sprach zum Volk: Kommt, laßt uns gen Gilgal gehen und das Königreich daselbst erneuern!
Y Saúl dijo: No morirá hoy ninguno, porque hoy ha obrado Jehová salud en Israel.
And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel.

Da ging alles Volk gen Gilgal; und machten daselbst Saul zum Könige vor dem HERRN zu Gilgal und opferten Dankopfer vor dem HERRN. Und Saul samt allen Männern Israels freueten sich daselbst fast sehr.
Mas Samuel dijo al pueblo: Venid, vamos á Gilgal para que renovemos allí el reino.
Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.

And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
