1 Samuel 11

Nahach l'Ammonite était venu attaquer Jabès-Galaad, et en faisait le siège. Les habitants de Jabès lui dirent: "Traite avec nous, nous voulons te servir."

Y SUBIÓ Naas Ammonita, y asentó campo contra Jabes de Galaad. Y todos los de Jabes dijeron á Naas: Haz alianza con nosotros, y te serviremos.

Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabesh-gilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a covenant with us, and we will serve thee.

Then Nahash the Ammonite came up and encamped against Jabesh Gilead; and all the men of Jabesh said to Nahash, “Make a covenant with us, and we will serve you.”

Nahach l'Ammonite leur répondit: "Je traiterai avec vous à cette condition, qu'on vous crève à tous l'œil droit; c'est un déshonneur que je veux infliger à tout Israël."

Y Naas Ammonita les respondió: Con esta condición haré alianza con vosotros, que á cada uno de todos vosotros saque el ojo derecho, y ponga esta afrenta sobre todo Israel.

And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel.

Nahash the Ammonite said to them, “On this condition I will make it with you, that all your right eyes be gouged out. I will make this dishonor all Israel.”

Les anciens de Jabès lui dirent: "Accorde-nous un délai de sept jours, que nous puissions envoyer des messagers dans tout le territoire d'Israël; si l'on ne nous vient pas en aide, nous nous rendrons à toi."

Entonces los ancianos de Jabes le dijeron: Danos siete días, para que enviemos mensajeros á todos los términos de Israel; y si nadie hubiere que nos defienda, saldremos á ti.

And the elders of Jabesh said unto him, Give us seven days’ respite, that we may send messengers unto all the coasts of Israel: and then, if there be no man to save us, we will come out to thee.

The elders of Jabesh said to him, “Give us seven days, that we may send messengers to all the borders of Israel; and then, if there is no one to save us, we will come out to you.”

Quand les messagers furent arrivés à Ghibea et eurent exposé ces faits au peuple, le peuple tout entier éclata en sanglots.

Y llegando los mensajeros á Gabaa de Saúl, dijeron estas palabras en oídos del pueblo; y todo el pueblo lloró á voz en grito.

Then came the messengers to Gibeah of Saul, and told the tidings in the ears of the people: and all the people lifted up their voices, and wept.

Cependant Saül revenait des champs, derrière ses bœufs; il demanda: "Pourquoi le peuple pleure-t-il?" On lui rapporta les paroles des hommes de Jabès.

Y he aquí Saúl que venía del campo, tras los bueyes; y dijo Saúl: ¿Qué tiene el pueblo, que lloran? Y contáronle las palabras de los hombres de Jabes.

And, behold, Saul came after the herd out of the field; and Saul said, What aileth the people that they weep? And they told him the tidings of the men of Jabesh.

Behold, Saul came following the oxen out of the field; and Saul said, “What ails the people that they weep?” They told him the words of the men of Jabesh.

Sitôt qu'il les eut entendues, Saül se sentit envahi par l'esprit divin et enflammé d'indignation.

Y el espíritu de Dios arrebató á Saúl en oyendo estas palabras, y encendióse en ira en gran manera.

And the Spirit of God came upon Saul when he heard those tidings, and his anger was kindled greatly.

God’s Spirit came mightily on Saul when he heard those words, and his anger burned hot.

Il prit une paire de bœufs et les coupa en morceaux, qu'il envoya par les messagers dans tout le territoire d'Israël, avec ces paroles: "Quiconque ne suivra pas Saül et Samuel, voilà comme on traitera ses bœufs!" Et une terreur divine s'empara du peuple, et ils accoururent comme un seul homme.

Y tomando un par de bueyes, cortólos en piezas, y enviólas por todos los términos de Israel por mano de mensajeros, diciendo: Cualquiera que no saliere en pos de Saúl y en pos de Samuel, así será hecho á sus bueyes. Y cayó temor de Jehová sobre el pueblo, y salieron como un solo hombre.

And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent.

He took a yoke of oxen and cut them in pieces, then sent them throughout all the borders of Israel by the hand of messengers, saying, “Whoever doesn’t come out after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done to his oxen.” The dread of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out as one man.

On les recensa à Bézek; les enfants d'Israël furent trois cent mille, et ceux de Juda trente mille.

Y contólos en Bezec; y fueron los hijos de Israel trescientos mil, y treinta mil los hombres de Judá.

And when he numbered them in Bezek, the children of Israel were three hundred thousand, and the men of Judah thirty thousand.

On dit aux messagers qui étaient venus: "Apportez cette réponse aux gens de Jabès-Galaad: Demain, quand le soleil sera dans sa force, la délivrance viendra pour vous." Les messagers allèrent l'annoncer aux gens de Jabès, lesquels s'en réjouirent

Y respondieron á los mensajeros que habían venido: Así diréis á los de Jabes de Galaad: Mañana en calentando el sol, tendréis salvamento. Y vinieron los mensajeros, y declaráronlo á los de Jabes, los cuales se holgaron.

And they said unto the messengers that came, Thus shall ye say unto the men of Jabesh-gilead, To morrow, by that time the sun be hot, ye shall have help. And the messengers came and shewed it to the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.

They said to the messengers who came, “Tell the men of Jabesh Gilead, ‘Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you will be rescued.’” The messengers came and told the men of Jabesh; and they were glad.

et firent dire aux ennemis: "Demain, nous nous rendrons à vous, et vous nous traiterez selon votre bon plaisir."

Y los de Jabes dijeron: Mañana saldremos á vosotros, para que hagáis con nosotros todo lo que bien os pareciere.

Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.

Therefore the men of Jabesh said, “Tomorrow we will come out to you, and you shall do with us all that seems good to you.”

Le lendemain, Saül disposa l'armée en trois corps, qui pénétrèrent au milieu du camp pendant la veille du matin, et battirent les Ammonites jusqu'au plus chaud de la journée; ceux qui purent échapper se débandèrent, si bien qu'il n'en resta pas deux ensemble.

Y el día siguiente dispuso Saúl el pueblo en tres escuadrones, y entraron en medio del real á la vela de la mañana, é hirieron á los Ammonitas hasta que el día calentaba: y los que quedaron fueron dispersos, tal que no quedaron dos de ellos juntos.

And it was so on the morrow, that Saul put the people in three companies; and they came into the midst of the host in the morning watch, and slew the Ammonites until the heat of the day: and it came to pass, that they which remained were scattered, so that two of them were not left together.

Le peuple dit à Samuel: "Qui donc disait: Saül régnerait-il sur nous? Qu'on nous livre ces hommes, nous voulons les mettre à mort!"

El pueblo entonces dijo á Samuel: ¿Quiénes son lo que decían: Reinará Saúl sobre nosotros? Dadnos esos hombres, y los mataremos.

And the people said unto Samuel, Who is he that said, Shall Saul reign over us? bring the men, that we may put them to death.

The people said to Samuel, “Who is he who said, ‘Shall Saul reign over us?’ Bring those men, that we may put them to death!”

Mais Saül dit: "On ne doit faire mourir personne en ce jour, car aujourd'hui l'Eternel a procuré la victoire à Israël."

Y Saúl dijo: No morirá hoy ninguno, porque hoy ha obrado Jehová salud en Israel.

And Saul said, There shall not a man be put to death this day: for to day the LORD hath wrought salvation in Israel.

Saul said, “No man shall be put to death today; for today the LORD has rescued Israel.”

Alors Samuel dit au peuple: "Venez, allons à Ghilgal, pour y consacrer de nouveau la royauté."

Mas Samuel dijo al pueblo: Venid, vamos á Gilgal para que renovemos allí el reino.

Then said Samuel to the people, Come, and let us go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.

Then Samuel said to the people, “Come! Let’s go to Gilgal, and renew the kingdom there.”

Et tout le peuple se rendit à Ghilgal, et là, à Ghilgal, devant le Seigneur, ils proclamèrent Saül roi, là ils immolèrent des victimes rémunératoires devant le Seigneur, et Saül et tous les Israélites y firent de grandes réjouissances.

Y fué todo el pueblo á Gilgal, é invistieron allí á Saúl por rey delante de Jehová en Gilgal. Y sacrificaron allí víctimas pacíficas delante de Jehová; y alegráronse mucho allí Saúl y todos los de Israel.

And all the people went to Gilgal; and there they made Saul king before the LORD in Gilgal; and there they sacrificed sacrifices of peace offerings before the LORD; and there Saul and all the men of Israel rejoiced greatly.
