Entonces dijo Samuel a todo el pueblo de Israel: Ya veis que he condescendido con vosotros en todo lo que me habéis propuesto, y que os he dado un rey;
Y DIJO Samuel á todo Israel: He aquí, yo he oído vuestra voz en todas las cosas que me habéis dicho, y os he puesto rey.
And Samuel said unto all Israel, Behold, I have hearkened unto your voice in all that ye said unto me, and have made a king over you.

y este rey se halla al frente de vosotros. Yo ya soy viejo y lleno de canas, y mis hijos con vosotros están. Entre vosotros he vivido desde mi juventud hasta hoy; aquí me tenéis presente.
Ahora pues, he aquí vuestro rey va delante de vosotros. Yo soy ya viejo y cano: mas mis hijos están con vosotros, y yo he andado delante de vosotros desde mi mocedad hasta este día.
And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day.

Declarad contra mí delante del Señor y de su ungido, si acaso yo he usurpado el buey o el asno u otra cosa de ninguna persona; si he calumniado a nadie, si le he oprimido; si he aceptado cohecho, ni regalo alguno de quienquiera que sea, que hoy os satisfaré, y lo restituiré.
Aquí estoy; atestiguad contra mí delante de Jehová y delante de su ungido, si he tomado el buey de alguno, ó si he tomado el asno de alguno, ó si he calumniado á alguien, ó si he agraviado á alguno, ó si de alguien he tomado cohecho por el cual haya cubierto mis ojos: y os satisfaré.
Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you.
Here I am. Witness against me before the LORD and before his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I defrauded? Whom have I oppressed? Of whose hand have I taken a bribe to make me blind my eyes? I will restore it to you.”
A lo que dijeron: No nos has calumniado ni oprimido, ni has tomado de nadie cosa chica ni grande.
Entonces dijeron: Nunca nos has calumniado, ni agraviado, ni has tomado algo de mano de ningún hombre.
And they said, Thou hast not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither hast thou taken ought of any man’s hand.
They said, “You have not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither have you taken anything from anyone’s hand.”
Les repuso Samuel: Testigo es el Señor contra vosotros, y testigo su ungido en este día de que no habéis hallado nada que decir contra mi conducta. Respondieron: Testigo.
Y él les dijo: Jehová es testigo contra vosotros, y su ungido también es testigo en este día, que no habéis hallado en mi mano cosa ninguna. Y ellos respondieron: Así es.
And he said unto them, The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.
He said to them, “The LORD is witness against you, and his anointed is witness today, that you have not found anything in my hand.” They said, “He is witness.”
Y dijo Samuel al pueblo: Sí, testigo me es aquel Señor que crió a Moisés y Aarón, y sacó a nuestros padres de la tierra de Egipto.
Entonces Samuel dijo al pueblo: Jehová es quien hizo á Moisés y á Aarón, y que sacó á vuestros padres de la tierra de Egipto.
And Samuel said unto the people, It is the LORD that advanced Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
Samuel said to the people, “It is the LORD who appointed Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers up out of the land of Egypt.
Ahora bien, compareced vosotros para que yo delante del Señor os haga cargo en juicio de todas las misericordias que os hizo a vosotros y a vuestros padres.
Ahora pues, aguardad, y yo os haré cargo delante de Jehová de todas las justicias de Jehová, que ha hecho con vosotros y con vuestros padres.
Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the LORD of all the righteous acts of the LORD, which he did to you and to your fathers.

Acordaos de cómo Jacob entró en Egipto, y de qué manera clamaron vuestros padres al Señor; el cual envió a Moisés y Aarón y sacó a vuestros padres de Egipto, y los estableció en este país.
Después que Jacob hubo entrado en Egipto y vuestros padres clamaron á Jehová, Jehová envió á Moisés y á Aarón, los cuales sacaron á vuestros padres de Egipto, y los hicieron habitar en este lugar.
When Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought forth your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this place.

Mas ellos se olvidaron del Señor Dios suyo; por lo que los entregó en poder de Sísara, capitán general del ejército de Hasor y en poder de los filisteos, y en poder también del rey de Moab, que les hicieron guerra.
Y olvidaron á Jehová su Dios, y él los vendió en la mano de Sísara capitán del ejército de Asor, y en la mano de los Filisteos, y en la mano del rey de Moab, los cuales les hicieron guerra.
And when they forgat the LORD their God, he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the host of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.
But they forgot the LORD their God; and he sold them into the hand of Sisera, captain of the army of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistines, and into the hand of the king of Moab; and they fought against them.
Pero después clamaron al Señor, diciendo: Hemos pecado, pues abandonamos al Señor y hemos servido a Baal y a Astarot; ahora, pues, líbranos de las manos de nuestros enemigos, y te serviremos.
Y ellos clamaron á Jehová, y dijeron: Pecamos, que hemos dejado á Jehová, y hemos servido á los Baales y á Astaroth: líbranos pues ahora de la mano de nuestros enemigos, y te serviremos.
And they cried unto the LORD, and said, We have sinned, because we have forsaken the LORD, and have served Baalim and Ashtaroth: but now deliver us out of the hand of our enemies, and we will serve thee.

Con efecto, el Señor os envió a Jerobaal, y a Badán, y a Jefté y a Samuel, y os libró del poder de vuestros enemigos que os rodeaban, y vivisteis en seguridad.
Entonces Jehová envió á Jerobaal, y á Bedán, y á Jephté, y á Samuel, y os libró de mano de vuestros enemigos alrededor, y habitasteis seguros.

Pero viendo que Naas, rey de los amonitas, marchaba contra vosotros, me dijisteis: No será como hasta aquí, sino que nos mandará un rey, siendo así que era entonces el mismo Señor Dios vuestro el que reinaba en medio de vosotros.
Y habiendo visto que Naas rey de lo hijos de Ammón venía contra vosotros, me dijisteis: No, sino rey reinará sobre nosotros; siendo vuestro rey Jehová vuestro Dios.
And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when the LORD your God was your king.
“When you saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, you said to me, ‘No, but a king shall reign over us,’ when the LORD your God was your king.
Ahora bien, aquí tenéis a vuestro rey, ya que vosotros escogisteis y pedisteis tenerlo; ya veis cómo el Señor os ha dado un rey.
Ahora pues, ved aquí vuestro rey que habéis elegido, el cual pedisteis; ya veis que Jehová ha puesto sobre vosotros rey.
Now therefore behold the king whom ye have chosen, and whom ye have desired! and, behold, the LORD hath set a king over you.

Con todo si temiereis al Señor, y le sirviereis, y escuchareis su voz, y no fuereis rebeldes a sus palabras, entonces, así vosotros como el rey que os gobierna, seréis dichosos siguiendo al Señor Dios vuestro.
Si temiereis á Jehová y le sirviereis, y oyereis su voz, y no fuereis rebeldes á la palabra de Jehová, así vosotros como el rey que reina sobre vosotros, seréis en pos de Jehová vuestro Dios.
If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God:
If you will fear the LORD, and serve him, and listen to his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then both you and also the king who reigns over you are followers of the LORD your God.
Mas si no escuchareis la voz del Señor, y fuereis rebeldes a sus mandatos, descargará sobre vosotros la mano del Señor, como hizo sobre vuestros padres.
Mas si no oyereis la voz de Jehová, y si fuereis rebeldes á las palabras de Jehová, la mano de Jehová será contra vosotros como contra vuestros padres.
But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
But if you will not listen to the LORD’s voice, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then the LORD’s hand will be against you, as it was against your fathers.
Pero aguardad ahora un poco, y veréis este prodigio que el Señor va a hacer delante de vuestros ojos.
Esperad aún ahora, y mirad esta gran cosa que Jehová hará delante de vuestros ojos.
Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
“Now therefore stand still and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.
¿No estamos ahora en la siega de los trigos? Pues yo voy a invocar al Señor, y enviará repentinamente truenos y lluvias; a fin de que entendáis y veáis cuán grande es delante del Señor el mal que habéis hecho pidiendo un rey.
¿No es ahora la siega de los trigos? Yo clamaré á Jehová, y él dará truenos y aguas; para que conozcáis y veáis que es grande vuestra maldad que habéis hecho en los ojos de Jehová, pidiéndoos rey.
Is it not wheat harvest to day? I will call unto the LORD, and he shall send thunder and rain; that ye may perceive and see that your wickedness is great, which ye have done in the sight of the LORD, in asking you a king.
Isn’t it wheat harvest today? I will call to the LORD, that he may send thunder and rain; and you will know and see that your wickedness is great, which you have done in the LORD’s sight, in asking for a king.”
Clamó, pues, Samuel al Señor, y el Señor envió truenos y lluvias en aquel mismo día;
Y Samuel clamó á Jehová; y Jehová dió truenos y aguas en aquel día; y todo el pueblo temió en gran manera á Jehová y á Samuel.
So Samuel called unto the LORD; and the LORD sent thunder and rain that day: and all the people greatly feared the LORD and Samuel.

con lo que todo el pueblo temió en gran manera al Señor y a Samuel, y dijeron todos juntos a Samuel: Ruega por tus siervos al Señor Dios tuyo, para que no muramos; porque a todos los demás pecados nuestros hemos añadido aún la maldad de pedir un rey para que nos gobernase.
Entonces dijo todo el pueblo á Samuel: Ruega por tus siervos á Jehová tu Dios, que no muramos: porque á todos nuestros pecados hemos añadido este mal de pedir rey para nosotros.
And all the people said unto Samuel, Pray for thy servants unto the LORD thy God, that we die not: for we have added unto all our sins this evil, to ask us a king.
All the people said to Samuel, “Pray for your servants to the LORD your God, that we not die; for we have added to all our sins this evil, to ask for a king.”
Dijo entonces Samuel al pueblo: No temáis; vosotros es verdad habéis cometido todos esos pecados; sin embargo no os apartéis del camino del Señor, sino servidle de todo vuestro corazón,
Y Samuel respondió al pueblo: No temáis: vosotros habéis cometido todo este mal; mas con todo eso no os apartéis de en pos de Jehová, sino servid á Jehová con todo vuestro corazón:
And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart;
Samuel said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. You have indeed done all this evil; yet don’t turn away from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart.
ni queráis descarriaros en pos de cosas vanas, que no os aprovecharán de nada, ni os librarán; puesto que no son más que vanidad y mentira.
No os apartéis en pos de las vanidades, que no aprovechan ni libran, porque son vanidades.
And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain.
Don’t turn away to go after vain things which can’t profit or deliver, for they are vain.
Porque el Señor, por amor de su nombre grande y santo, no desamparará a su pueblo; habiendo jurado tomaros por propio pueblo suyo.
Pues Jehová no desamparará á su pueblo por su grande nombre; porque Jehová ha querido haceros pueblo suyo.
For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name’s sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people.

Por lo demás lejos de mí cometer tal pecado contra el Señor, que yo cese nunca de rogar por vosotros; yo os enseñaré siempre el recto y buen camino.
Así que, lejos sea de mí que peque yo contra Jehová cesando de rogar por vosotros; antes yo os enseñaré por el camino bueno y derecho.
Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

Así, pues, temed al Señor y servidle de veras y de todo vuestro corazón, ya que habéis visto las maravillas que ha obrado entre vosotros.
Solamente temed á Jehová, y servidle de verdad con todo vuestro corazón, porque considerad cuán grandes cosas ha hecho con vosotros.
