43Então Saul disse a Jônatas: Declara-me que fizeste. E Jônatas se o declarou, e disse: Certo que provei com a ponta da vara que trazia em minha mão, um pouco de mel: e eis que ei de morrer?

43Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die.

43Then Saul said to Jonathan, “Tell me what you have done!” Jonathan told him, and said, “I certainly did taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand; and behold, I must die.”
