1 Samuel 19

Saül écouta la voix de Jonathas, et Saül fit ce serment : « Yahweh est vivant ! David ne sera pas mis à mort. »

Y oyendo Saúl la voz de Jonathán, juró: Vive Jehová, que no morirá.

And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain.

Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan; and Saul swore, “As the LORD lives, he shall not be put to death.”
