1 Samuel 19

Entonces Saúl dio órdenes a su hijo Jonatán y a todos sus siervos para que mataran a David. Pero Jonatán, hijo de Saúl, apreciaba mucho a David.

Y HABLÓ Saúl á Jonathán su hijo, y á todos sus criados, para que matasen á David; mas Jonathán hijo de Saúl amaba á David en gran manera.

And Saul spake to Jonathan his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David.

Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan, Saul’s son, greatly delighted in David.

Y Jonatán dijo a David: Mi padre, Saúl, está planeando tu muerte. Así que, cuídate por la mañana y mantente a salvo en un lugar secreto.

Y dió aviso á David, diciendo: Saúl mi padre procura matarte; por tanto mira ahora por ti hasta la mañana, y estáte en paraje oculto, y escóndete:

But Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:

Jonathan told David, saying, “Saul my father seeks to kill you. Now therefore, please take care of yourself in the morning, live in a secret place, and hide yourself.

Saldré y tomaré mi lugar al lado de mi padre en el campo cerca de donde estás; y hablaré con él sobre ti, y cuando vea cómo están las cosas, te haré saber.

Y yo saldré y estaré junto á mi padre en el campo donde estuvieres: y hablaré de ti á mi padre, y te haré saber lo que notare.

And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee.

I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are, and I will talk with my father about you; and if I see anything, I will tell you.”

Y Jonatán dio a su padre Saúl un buen relato de David, y le dijo: No se equivoque el rey contra su siervo, contra David; porque no le ha hecho ningún mal, y todos sus actos han tenido un buen resultado para usted.

Y Jonathán habló bien de David á Saúl su padre, y díjole: No peque el rey contra su siervo David, pues que ninguna cosa ha cometido contra ti: antes sus obras te han sido muy buenas;

And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:

Jonathan spoke good of David to Saul his father, and said to him, “Don’t let the king sin against his servant, against David; because he has not sinned against you, and because his works have been very good toward you;

Porque puso su vida en peligro y venció al filisteo, y el Señor le dio a todo Israel la salvación. Usted lo vio y se alegró. ¿Por qué, entonces, está pecando contra el que no hizo nada malo, deseando la muerte de David ¿sin causa?

Porque él puso su alma en su palma, é hirió al Filisteo, y Jehová hizo una gran salud á todo Israel. Tú lo viste, y te holgaste: ¿por qué pues pecarás contra la sangre inocente, matando á David sin causa?

For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?

for he put his life in his hand and struck the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great victory for all Israel. You saw it and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?”

Entonces Saúl escuchó la voz de Jonatán y dijo con juramento: Por el Señor viviente, no debe ser condenado a muerte.

Y oyendo Saúl la voz de Jonathán, juró: Vive Jehová, que no morirá.

And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain.

Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan; and Saul swore, “As the LORD lives, he shall not be put to death.”

Entonces Jonatán mandó llamar a David y le dio palabra de todas estas cosas. Y Jonatán llevó a David a Saúl, quien lo mantuvo a su lado como en el pasado.

Llamando entonces Jonathán á David, declaróle todas estas palabras; y él mismo presentó á David á Saúl, y estuvo delante de él como antes.

And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan shewed him all those things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence, as in times past.

Y hubo otra guerra: y David salió luchando contra los filisteos, causando gran destrucción entre ellos; y salieron en vuelo delante de él.

And there was war again: and David went out, and fought with the Philistines, and slew them with a great slaughter; and they fled from him.

Y vino un espíritu maligno del Señor sobre Saúl, cuando estaba sentado en su casa con su lanza en la mano; y David tocó música para él.

Y el espíritu malo de parte de Jehová fué sobre Saúl: y estando sentado en su casa tenía una lanza á mano, mientras David estaba tañendo con su mano.

And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

An evil spirit from the LORD was on Saul as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand; and David was playing music with his hand.

Y Saúl intentó clavar a David con la lanza de él, clavándole a la pared, pero él se escapó y la lanza entró en la pared; y esa noche David salió a la fuga y se escapó.

Y Saúl procuró enclavar á David con la lanza en la pared; mas él se apartó de delante de Saúl, el cual hirió con la lanza en la pared; y David huyó, y escapóse aquella noche.

And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.

Saul sought to pin David to the wall with the spear, but he slipped away out of Saul’s presence; and he stuck the spear into the wall. David fled and escaped that night.

Entonces, esa noche, Saúl envió hombres a la casa de David para vigilarlo y matarlo por la mañana; y la esposa de David, Mical, le dijo: Si no te vas a un lugar seguro esta noche. Serás ejecutado a la mañana siguiente.

Saúl envió luego mensajeros á casa de David para que lo guardasen, y lo matasen á la mañana. Mas Michâl su mujer lo descubrió á David, diciendo: Si no salvares tu vida esta noche, mañana serás muerto.

Saul also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.

Saul sent messengers to David’s house to watch him and to kill him in the morning. Michal, David’s wife, told him, saying, “If you don’t save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”

Entonces Mical descolgó a David por la ventana, y él salió corriendo y se escapó.

So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.

Entonces Mical tomó una estatua la puso en la cama, con un cojín de pelo de cabra en la cabeza, y ella puso ropa encima.

Tomó luego Michâl una estatua, y púsola sobre la cama, y acomodóle por cabecera una almohada de pelos de cabra, y cubrióla con una ropa.

And Michal took an image, and laid it in the bed, and put a pillow of goats’ hair for his bolster, and covered it with a cloth.

Y cuando Saúl envió a los hombres para que se llevarán a David, ella dijo: Está enfermo.

Y cuando Saúl envió mensajeros que tomasen á David, ella respondió: Está enfermo.

And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, He is sick.

Entonces Saúl envió a sus hombres a ver a David, diciendo: No vuelvas sin él, tómalo en su cama, para que yo pueda matarlo.

Y tornó Saúl á enviar mensajeros para que viesen á David, diciendo: Traédmelo en la cama para que lo mate.

And Saul sent the messengers again to see David, saying, Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may slay him.

Y cuando entraron los hombres, allí estaba la imagen en la cama, con el cojín de pelo de cabra en la cabeza.

Y como los mensajeros entraron, he aquí la estatua estaba en la cama, y una almohada de pelos de cabra por cabecera.

And when the messengers were come in, behold, there was an image in the bed, with a pillow of goats’ hair for his bolster.

Y Saúl le dijo a Mical: ¿por qué has mentido, dejando que mi enemigo se vaya y salga a salvo? Y en respuesta, Mical dijo a Saúl: Él me dijo: Déjame ir o te mataré.

Entonces Saúl dijo á Michâl: ¿Por qué me has así engañado, y has dejado escapar á mi enemigo? Y Michâl respondió á Saúl: Porque él me dijo: Déjame ir; si no, yo te mataré.

And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?

Saul said to Michal, “Why have you deceived me like this and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” Michal answered Saul, “He said to me, ‘Let me go! Why should I kill you?’”

Entonces David salió en vuelo, se escapó y fue a Ramá, a Samuel, y le contó todo lo que Saúl le había hecho. Y él y Samuel fueron y vivían en Naiot.

Huyó pues David, y escapóse, y vino á Samuel en Rama, y díjole todo lo que Saúl había hecho con él. Y fuéronse él y Samuel, y moraron en Najoth.

So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.

Y se dio la palabra a Saúl de que David estaba en Naiot en Ramá.

Y fué dado aviso á Saúl, diciendo: He aquí que David está en Najoth en Rama.

And it was told Saul, saying, Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.

Saul was told, saying, “Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.”

Y Saúl envió hombres a tomar a David; y cuando vieron trabajar a la banda de profetas, con Samuel en su lugar a la cabeza, el espíritu de Dios vino sobre los hombres de Saúl, y cayeron en trance profético.

Y envió Saúl mensajeros que trajesen á David, los cuales vieron una compañía de profetas que profetizaban, y á Samuel que estaba allí, y los presidía. Y fué el espíritu de Dios sobre los mensajeros de Saúl, y ellos también profetizaron.

And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

Y teniendo conocimiento de esto, Saúl envió a otros hombres que de la misma cayeron en trance profético. Y una tercera vez Saúl envió hombres, y ellos, como los demás, cayeron en trance profético.

Y hecho que fué saber á Saúl, él envió otros mensajeros, los cuales también profetizaron. Y Saúl volvió á enviar por tercera vez mensajeros, y ellos también profetizaron.

And when it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied likewise. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they prophesied also.

Entonces él mismo fue a Ramá y fue al gran manantial de agua en Secu; y preguntando a la gente, dijo: ¿Dónde están Samuel y David? Y uno dijo: Están en Naiot, en Ramá.

Entonces él mismo vino á Rama; y llegando al pozo grande que está en Sochô, preguntó diciendo: ¿Dónde están Samuel y David? Y fuéle respondido: He aquí están en Najoth en Rama.

Then went he also to Ramah, and came to a great well that is in Sechu: and he asked and said, Where are Samuel and David? And one said, Behold, they be at Naioth in Ramah.

Y de allí se fue a Naiot en Ramá; y el espíritu de Dios vino sobre él, y cayó en trance profético, hasta que llegó a Naiot en Ramá.

Y fué allá á Najoth en Rama; y también vino sobre él el espíritu de Dios, é iba profetizando, hasta que llegó á Najoth en Rama.

And he went thither to Naioth in Ramah: and the Spirit of God was upon him also, and he went on, and prophesied, until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

Y se quitó la ropa, estuvo en trance delante de Samuel, y al caer, fue tendido, sin su ropa, todo el día y toda la noche. Esta es la razón del dicho: ¿Está Saúl entre los profetas?

Y él también se desnudó sus vestidos, y profetizó igualmente delante de Samuel, y cayó desnudo todo aquel día y toda aquella noche. De aquí se dijo: ¿También Saúl entre los profetas?

And he stripped off his clothes also, and prophesied before Samuel in like manner, and lay down naked all that day and all that night. Wherefore they say, Is Saul also among the prophets?
