But Jonathan Saul’s son delighted much in David: and Jonathan told David, saying, Saul my father seeketh to kill thee: now therefore, I pray thee, take heed to thyself until the morning, and abide in a secret place, and hide thyself:

E eu sairei e estarei junto a meu pai no campo de onde estiveres: e falarei de ti a meu pai, e te farei saber o que notar.
Y yo saldré y estaré junto á mi padre en el campo donde estuvieres: y hablaré de ti á mi padre, y te haré saber lo que notare.
And I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where thou art, and I will commune with my father of thee; and what I see, that I will tell thee.

E Jônatas falou bem de Davi a Saul seu pai, e disse-lhe: Não peque o rei contra seu servo Davi, pois que nenhuma coisa cometeu contra ti: antes suas obras te foram muito boas;

And Jonathan spake good of David unto Saul his father, and said unto him, Let not the king sin against his servant, against David; because he hath not sinned against thee, and because his works have been to thee-ward very good:

Porque ele pôs sua alma em sua palma, e feriu ao filisteu, e o SENHOR fez uma grande salvação a todo Israel. Tu o viste, e te alegraste: por que, pois, pecarás contra o sangue inocente, matando a Davi sem causa?
Porque él puso su alma en su palma, é hirió al Filisteo, y Jehová hizo una gran salud á todo Israel. Tú lo viste, y te holgaste: ¿por qué pues pecarás contra la sangre inocente, matando á David sin causa?
For he did put his life in his hand, and slew the Philistine, and the LORD wrought a great salvation for all Israel: thou sawest it, and didst rejoice: wherefore then wilt thou sin against innocent blood, to slay David without a cause?
for he put his life in his hand and struck the Philistine, and the LORD worked a great victory for all Israel. You saw it and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood, to kill David without a cause?”
E ouvindo Saul a voz de Jônatas, jurou: Vive o SENHOR, que não morrerá.

And Saul hearkened unto the voice of Jonathan: and Saul sware, As the LORD liveth, he shall not be slain.

Chamando então Jônatas a Davi, declarou-lhe todas estas palavras; e ele mesmo apresentou Davi a Saul, e esteve diante dele como antes.

E o espírito mau da parte do SENHOR foi sobre Saul: e estando sentado em sua casa tinha uma lança à mão, enquanto Davi estava tocando harpa com sua mão.
Y el espíritu malo de parte de Jehová fué sobre Saúl: y estando sentado en su casa tenía una lanza á mano, mientras David estaba tañendo con su mano.
And the evil spirit from the LORD was upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his javelin in his hand: and David played with his hand.

E Saul procurou encravar a Davi com a lança na parede; mas ele se afastou de diante de Saul, o qual feriu com a lança na parede; e Davi fugiu, e escapou-se aquela noite.
Y Saúl procuró enclavar á David con la lanza en la pared; mas él se apartó de delante de Saúl, el cual hirió con la lanza en la pared; y David huyó, y escapóse aquella noche.

Saul enviou logo mensageiros à casa de Davi para que o guardassem, e o matassem à manhã. Mas Mical sua mulher o revelou a Davi, dizendo: Se não salvares tua vida esta noite, amanhã serás morto.

Saul also sent messengers unto David’s house, to watch him, and to slay him in the morning: and Michal David’s wife told him, saying, If thou save not thy life to night, to morrow thou shalt be slain.

And Saul said unto Michal, Why hast thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee?
Saul said to Michal, “Why have you deceived me like this and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” Michal answered Saul, “He said to me, ‘Let me go! Why should I kill you?’”
