Y VINO David á Nob, á Ahimelech sacerdote: y sorprendióse Ahimelech de su encuentro, y díjole: ¿Cómo tú solo, y nadie contigo?
Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was afraid at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee?

David aber kam gen Nobezum Priester Ahimelech. Und Ahimelech entsetzte sich, da er David entgegenging, und sprach zu ihm: Warum kommst du allein und ist kein Mann mit dir?
Y respondió David al sacerdote Ahimelech: El rey me encomendó un negocio, y me dijo: Nadie sepa cosa alguna de este negocio á que yo te envío, y que yo te he mandado; y yo señalé á los criados un cierto lugar.
And David said unto Ahimelech the priest, The king hath commanded me a business, and hath said unto me, Let no man know any thing of the business whereabout I send thee, and what I have commanded thee: and I have appointed my servants to such and such a place.
David said to Ahimelech the priest, “The king has commanded me to do something, and has said to me, ‘Let no one know anything about the business about which I send you, and what I have commanded you. I have sent the young men to a certain place.’
David sprach zu Ahimelech, dem Priester: Der Konig hat mir eine Sache befohlen und sprach zu mir: Lal J niemand wissen, warum ich dich gesandt habe und was ich dir befohlen habe. Denn ich habe auch meine Knaben etwa hie Oder daher beschieden.
Ahora pues, ¿qué tienes á mano? dame cinco panes, ó lo que se hallare.
Now therefore what is under thine hand? give me five loaves of bread in mine hand, or what there is present.

Hastdu nun was unter deiner Hand, ein Brot Oder fünf, die gib mir in meine Hand, Oder was du findest.
Y el sacerdote respondió á David, y dijo: No tengo pan común á la mano; solamente tengo pan sagrado: mas lo daré si los criados se han guardado mayormente de mujeres.
And the priest answered David, and said, There is no common bread under mine hand, but there is hallowed bread; if the young men have kept themselves at least from women.
The priest answered David, and said, “I have no common bread, but there is holy bread; if only the young men have kept themselves from women.”
Der Priester antwortete David und sprach: Ich habe kein gemein Brot unter meiner Hand, sondern heilig Brot; wenn sich nur die Knaben von Weibern enthalten hatten!
Y David respondió al sacerdote, y díjole: Cierto las mujeres nos han sido reservadas desde anteayer cuando salí, y los vasos de los mozos fueron santos, aunque el camino es profano: cuanto más que hoy habrá otro pan santificado en los vasos.
And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women have been kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and the bread is in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel.
David answered the priest, and said to him, “Truly, women have been kept from us as usual these three days. When I came out, the vessels of the young men were holy, though it was only a common journey. How much more then today shall their vessels be holy?”
David antwortete dem Priester und sprach zu ihm: Es sind die Weiber drei Tage uns versperret gewesen, da ich auszog, und der Knaben Zeug war heilig; ist aber dieser Weg unheilig, so wird er heute geheiliget werden an dem Zeuge.

Y David dijo á Ahimelech: ¿No tienes aquí á mano lanza ó espada? porque no tomé en mi mano mi espada ni mis armas, por cuanto el mandamiento del rey era apremiante.
And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.
David said to Ahimelech, “Isn’t there here under your hand spear or sword? For I haven’t brought my sword or my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.”
Und David sprach zu Ahimelech: Ist nicht hie unter deiner Hand ein Spieli Oder Schwert? Ich habe mein Schwert und Waffen nicht mit mir genommen; denn die Sache des Konigs war eilend.

And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it: for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.
The priest said, “Behold, the sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the valley of Elah, is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you would like to take that, take it, for there is no other except that here.” David said, “There is none like that. Give it to me.”
Der Priester sprach: Das Schwert des Philisters Goliath, den du schlugest im Eichgrunde, das ist hie, gewickelt in einen Mantel hinter dem Leibrock. Willstdu dasselbige, so nimm's hin, denn es ist hie kein anderes denn das. David sprach: Es ist seinesgleichen nicht; gib mir's!

And the servants of Achish said unto him, Is not this David the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Saul hath slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands?

Aber die Knechte Achis sprachen zu ihm: Das ist der David, des Landes Konig, von dem sie sangen am Reigen und sprachen: Saul schlug tausend, David aber zehntausend.

Y dijo Achîs á sus siervos: He aquí estáis viendo un hombre demente; ¿por qué lo habéis traído á mí?
Then said Achish unto his servants, Lo, ye see the man is mad: wherefore then have ye brought him to me?
Then Achish said to his servants, “Look, you see the man is insane. Why then have you brought him to me?
Da sprach Achis zu seinen Knechten: Siehe, ihr sehet, daß der Mann unsinnig ist; warum habt ihr ihn zu mir gebracht?
¿Fáltanme á mí locos, para que hayáis traído éste que hiciese del loco delante de mí? ¿había de venir éste á mi casa?
