17E il re disse alle guardie che gli stavano attorno: “Volgetevi e uccidete i sacerdoti dell’Eterno, perché anch’essi son d’accordo con Davide; sapevano ch’egli era fuggito, e non me ne hanno informato”. Ma i servi del re non vollero metter le mani addosso ai sacerdoti dell’Eterno.

17Entonces dijo el rey á la gente de su guardia que estaba alrededor de él: Cercad y matad á los sacerdotes de Jehová; porque también la mano de ellos es con David, pues sabiendo ellos que huía, no me lo descubrieron. Mas los siervos del rey no quisieron extender sus manos para matar á los sacerdotes de Jehová.

17And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD; because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD.
World English Bible
17The king said to the guard who stood about him, “Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew that he fled and didn’t disclose it to me.” But the servants of the king wouldn’t put out their hand to fall on the priests of the LORD.
