Le respondió David a Abiatar: Bien conocí yo aquel día que estando allí Doeg, idumeo, se lo contaría a Saúl; yo soy el culpado en la muerte de toda la casa de tu padre.

Quédate conmigo, no temas: quien buscare mi vida, buscará también la tuya: bien que tú estarás conmigo guardado.

Abide thou with me, fear not: for he that seeketh my life seeketh thy life: but with me thou shalt be in safeguard.

Stay with me. Don’t be afraid, for he who seeks my life seeks your life. You will be safe with me.”
