1 Samuel 27

Et David dit en son cœur : Je tomberai un jour entre les mains de Saül, et je n'ai rien de bon à attendre, si je ne me réfugie dans la terre des Philistins ; Saül alors cessera de me chercher sur toutes les montagnes d'Israël ; et j'échapperai à ses mains.

Y DIJO David en su corazón: Al fin seré muerto algún día por la mano de Saúl: nada por tanto me será mejor que fugarme á la tierra de los Filisteos, para que Saúl se deje de mí, y no me ande buscando más por todos los términos de Israel, y así me escaparé de sus manos.

And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand.

David said in his heart, “I will now perish one day by the hand of Saul. There is nothing better for me than that I should escape into the land of the Philistines; and Saul will despair of me, to seek me any more in all the borders of Israel. So I will escape out of his hand.”

David partit donc avec les six cents hommes qui l'accompagnaient, et il alla chez Achis, fils d'Ammach, roi de Geth.

Levantóse pues David, y con los seiscientos hombres que tenía consigo pasóse á Achîs hijo de Maoch, rey de Gath.

And David arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that were with him unto Achish, the son of Maoch, king of Gath.

Et David s'établit chez Achis, lui et ses gens, chacun avec sa famille ; David avait avec lui ses deux femmes : Achinaam la Jezraélite, et Abigaïl, femme de Nabal du Carmel.

Y moró David con Achîs en Gath, él y los suyos, cada uno con su familia: David con sus dos mujeres, Ahinoam Jezreelita, y Abigail, la que fué mujer de Nabal el del Carmelo.

And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal’s wife.

Et l'on alla rapporter à Saül que David s'était réfugié à Geth, et il cessa de le chercher.

Y vino la nueva á Saúl que David se había huído á Gath, y no lo buscó más.

And it was told Saul that David was fled to Gath: and he sought no more again for him.

Et David dit à Achis : Si ton serviteur a trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que l'on me donne, dans une des villes de ce pays, un lieu où je demeurerai ; car pourquoi ton serviteur réside-t-il avec toi dans ta ville royale ?

Y David dijo á Achîs: Si he hallado ahora gracia en tus ojos, séame dado lugar en algunas de las ciudades de la tierra, donde habite: porque ¿ha de morar tu siervo contigo en la ciudad real?

And David said unto Achish, If I have now found grace in thine eyes, let them give me a place in some town in the country, that I may dwell there: for why should thy servant dwell in the royal city with thee?

David said to Achish, “If now I have found favor in your eyes, let them give me a place in one of the cities in the country, that I may dwell there. For why should your servant dwell in the royal city with you?”

Ce jour-là même, Achis lui donna Sécelac ; à cause de cela, Sécelac a fait partie du royaume de Juda jusqu'à nos jours.

And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the land, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the land of Egypt.

David frappait cette contrée, et il n'y laissait vivants ni homme ni femme ; il enlevait les bœufs, les ânes, les chameaux, les vêtements ; puis, il s'en retournait et revenait chez Achis.

And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.

David struck the land, and saved no man or woman alive, and took away the sheep, the cattle, the donkeys, the camels, and the clothing. Then he returned, and came to Achish.

Alors, Achis disait à David : Qui as-tu attaqué aujourd'hui ? David répondait : Ceux qui sont au midi de la Judée, au midi de Jesmega, au midi de Cénézi.

Y decía Achîs: ¿Dónde habéis corrido hoy? Y David decía: Al mediodía de Judá, y al mediodía de Jerameel, ó contra el mediodía de Ceni.

And Achish said, Whither have ye made a road to day? And David said, Against the south of Judah, and against the south of the Jerahmeelites, and against the south of the Kenites.

Achish said, “Against whom have you made a raid today?” David said, “Against the South of Judah, against the South of the Jerahmeelites, and against the South of the Kenites.”

Je n'ai laissé vivants ni homme ni femme pour les amener à Geth ; car je ne veux pas, disais-je, qu'ils parlent de nous dans Geth, et qu'ils disent : Voilà ce qu'a fait David. Telles furent ses habitudes tout le temps qu'il demeura sur les terres des Philistins.

Ni hombre ni mujer dejaba á vida David, que viniese á Gath; diciendo: Porque no den aviso de nosotros, diciendo, Esto hizo David. Y esta era su costumbre todo el tiempo que moró en tierra de los Filisteos.

And David saved neither man nor woman alive, to bring tidings to Gath, saying, Lest they should tell on us, saying, So did David, and so will be his manner all the while he dwelleth in the country of the Philistines.

Et David inspira la plus grande confiance à Achis, qui se disait : On l'a indignement traité au milieu de son peuple en Israël, et il sera toujours mon serviteur.

Y Achîs creía á David, diciendo así: El se hace abominable en su pueblo de Israel, y será siempre mi siervo.

And Achish believed David, saying, He hath made his people Israel utterly to abhor him; therefore he shall be my servant for ever.
