They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

Wenn jemand wider einen Menschen sundiget, so kann's der Richter schlichten. Wenn aber jemand wider den HERRN sundiget, wer kann fur ihn bitten? Aber sie gehorchten ihres Vaters Stimme nicht, denn der HERR hatte Willen, sie zu toten.

und habe ihn daselbst mir erwahlet vor alien Stammen Israels zum Priestertum, daß er opfern sollte auf meinem Altar und Rauchwerk anzünden und den Leibrock vor mir tragen; und habe deines Vaters Hause gegeben alle Feuer der Kinder Israel.

Warum lockest du denn wider meine Opfer und Speisopfer, die ich geboten habe in der Wohnung? Und du ehrest deine Sohne mehr denn mich, daß ihr euch mastet von dem Besten aller Speisopfer meines Volks Israel.
¿Por qué habéis hollado mis sacrificios y mis presentes, que yo mandé ofrecer en el tabernáculo; y has honrado á tus hijos más que á mí, engordándoos de lo principal de todas las ofrendas de mi pueblo Israel?
Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

Darum spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Ich habe geredet, dein Haus und deines Vaters Haus sollten wandeln vor mir ewiglich. Aber nun spricht der HERR: Es sei feme von mir, sondern wer mich ehret, den will ich auch ehren; wer aber mich verachtet, der soli wieder verachtet werden.

Siehe, es wird die Zeit kommen, daß ich will entzweibrechen deinen Arm und den Arm deines Vaters Hauses, daß kein Alter sei in deinem Hause.

Und das soli dir ein Zeichen sein, das uber deine zween Sohne, Hophni und Pinehas, kommen wird: auf einen Tag werden sie beide sterben.

Und wer ubrig ist von deinem Hause, der wird kommen und vorjenem niederfallen urn einen silbernen Pfennig und Stuck Brats und wird sagen: Lieber, lafi mich zu einem Priesterteil, daß ich einen Bissen Brat esse.

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.
It will happen that everyone who is left in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and will say, “Please put me into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.”’”
