Et Hanna se mit en prière, et elle dit: Mon cœur se délecte en l'Eternel, mon front s'est relevé grâce au Seigneur; je puis ouvrir la bouche en face de mes ennemis, car j'ai à me réjouir, Seigneur, de ton assistance.

Y ANNA oró y dijo: mi corazón se regocija en Jehová, mi cuerno es ensalzado en Jehová; mi boca se ensanchó sobre mis enemigos, por cuanto me alegré en tu salud.

And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

Nul n'est saint comme l'Eternel, nul ne l'est que toi seul! Aucune Puissance n'égale notre Dieu.

No hay santo como Jehová: porque no hay ninguno fuera de ti; y no hay refugio como el Dios nuestro.

There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

There is no one as holy as the LORD, for there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God.

Cessez, cessez vos paroles arrogantes, les bravades qui s'exhalent de votre bouche; car il dispose de toute science, l'Eternel, et toute œuvre lui est facile.

No multipliquéis hablando grandezas, altanerías; cesen las palabras arrogantes de vuestra boca; porque el Dios de todo saber es Jehová, y á él toca el pesar las acciones.

Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

“Don’t keep talking so exceedingly proudly. Don’t let arrogance come out of your mouth, for the LORD is a God of knowledge. By him actions are weighed.

Par lui, l'arc des forts est brisé, et ceux qui faiblissent sont armés de vigueur;

Los arcos de los fuertes fueron quebrados, y los flacos se ciñeron de fortaleza.

The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

Ceux qui vivaient dans l'abondance se font mercenaires, et qui souffrait de la faim en est délivré; tandis que la femme stérile enfante sept fois, la mère féconde est humiliée.

Los hartos se alquilaron por pan: y cesaron los hambrientos: hasta parir siete la estéril, y la que tenía muchos hijos enfermó.

They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry are satisfied. Yes, the barren has borne seven. She who has many children languishes.

L'Eternel fait mourir et fait vivre; il précipite au tombeau, et en retire.

Jehová mata, y él da vida: él hace descender al sepulcro, y hace subir.

The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

“The LORD kills and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol and brings up.

L'Eternel appauvrit et enrichit, abaisse et relève à son gré.

Jehová empobrece, y él enriquece: abate, y ensalza.

The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

The LORD makes poor and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.

Il redresse l'humble couché dans la poussière, fait remonter le pauvre du sein de l'abjection, pour les placer à côté des grands et les installer sur un siège d'honneur; car les colonnes de la terre sont à l'Eternel, c'est lui qui en a fait les supports du monde.

El levanta del polvo al pobre, y al menesteroso ensalza del estiércol, para asentarlo con los príncipes; y hace que tengan por heredad asiento de honra: porque de Jehová son las columnas de la tierra, y él asentó sobre ellas el mundo.

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, and he hath set the world upon them.

He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill to make them sit with princes and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s. He has set the world on them.

Il veille sur les pas de ses adorateurs, tandis que les impies périssent dans les ténèbres, car ce n'est pas la force qui fait le vainqueur.

El guarda los pies de sus santos, mas los impíos perecen en tinieblas; porque nadie será fuerte por su fuerza.

He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness; for no man will prevail by strength.

L'Eternel, ses agresseurs sont foudroyés, quand sur eux, du haut du ciel, Il tonne; l'Eternel juge les sommités de la terre! Et Il donnera la puissance à son roi, et Il exaltera la gloire de son élu.

Delante de Jehová serán quebrantados sus adversarios, y sobre ellos tronará desde los cielos: Jehová juzgará los términos de la tierra, y dará fortaleza á su Rey, y ensalzará el cuerno de su Mesías.

The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Those who strive with the LORD shall be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in the sky. “The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.”

Elkana s'en retourna chez lui à Rama, et le jeune homme resta pour servir le Seigneur, sous les yeux du pontife Héli.

Y Elcana se volvió á su casa en Ramatha; y el niño ministraba á Jehová delante del sacerdote Eli.

And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.

Or, les fils d'Héli étaient des hommes pervers qui ne s'inquiétaient pas du Seigneur.

Mas los hijos de Eli eran hombres impíos, y no tenían conocimiento de Jehová.

Now the sons of Eli were sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

Voici comme ces prêtres en usaient avec le peuple: chaque fois qu'un individu offrait un sacrifice, le serviteur du prêtre survenait pendant la cuisson de la viande, ayant en main la fourchette à trois dents,

Y la costumbre de los sacerdotes con el pueblo era que, cuando alguno ofrecía sacrificio, venía el criado del sacerdote mientras la carne estaba á cocer, trayendo en su mano un garfio de tres ganchos;

And the priests’ custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand;

The custom of the priests with the people was that when anyone offered a sacrifice, the priest’s servant came while the meat was boiling, with a fork of three teeth in his hand;

qu'il piquait dans la marmite, la chaudière, la casserole ou le pot; et tout ce qu'amenait la fourchette, le prêtre se l'appropriait. Telle était leur pratique envers tout Israélite qui venait sacrifier à Silo.

Y hería con él en la caldera, ó en la olla, ó en el caldero, ó en el pote; y todo lo que sacaba el garfio, el sacerdote lo tomaba para si. De esta manera hacían á todo Israelita que venía á Silo.

And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither.

Bien mieux: avant qu'on fît fumer la graisse des victimes, le serviteur du prêtre venait dire à l'offrant: "Donne de la viande à rôtir pour le prêtre, car il n'accepte de toi que de la viande crue et non cuite."

Asimismo, antes de quemar el sebo, venía el criado del sacerdote, y decía al que sacrificaba: Da carne que ase para el sacerdote; porque no tomará de ti carne cocida, sino cruda.

Also before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.

Yes, before they burned the fat, the priest’s servant came, and said to the man who sacrificed, “Give meat to roast for the priest; for he will not accept boiled meat from you, but raw.”

Que si l'homme disait: "On doit d'abord faire fumer les parties grasses, tu prendras après ce qu'il te plaira", on lui répondait: "Non, donne tout de suite, sinon je prendrai de force!"

Y si le respondía el varón, Quemen luego el sebo hoy, y después toma tanta como quisieres; él respondía: No, sino ahora la has de dar: de otra manera yo la tomaré por fuerza.

And if any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, Nay; but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.

If the man said to him, “Let the fat be burned first, and then take as much as your soul desires;” then he would say, “No, but you shall give it to me now; and if not, I will take it by force.”

Le péché de ces jeunes gens était très grave aux yeux de l'Eternel, en ce qu'ils avilissaient le culte du Seigneur.

Era pues el pecado de los mozos muy grande delante de Jehová; porque los hombres menospreciaban los sacrificios de Jehová.

Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.

And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.

De fait, le Seigneur se souvint de Hanna, laquelle conçut et enfanta trois fils et deux filles, tandis que le jeune Samuel grandissait en présence du Seigneur.

Y visitó Jehová á Anna, y concibió, y parió tres hijos, y dos hijas. Y el joven Samuel crecía delante de Jehová.

Or, Héli était très vieux, et il entendait parler de la conduite de ses fils envers tout Israël, et comme quoi ils abusaient des femmes qui venaient faire leurs dévotions à l'entrée de la tente d'assignation.

Eli empero era muy viejo, y oyó todo lo que sus hijos hacían á todo Israel, y como dormían con las mujeres que velaban á la puerta del tabernáculo del testimonio.

Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.

Cessez donc, mes enfants; car il n'est pas beau, le bruit que j'entends courir sur vous parmi le peuple du Seigneur.

No, hijos míos; porque no es buena fama la que yo oigo: que hacéis pecar al pueblo de Jehová.

Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD’s people to transgress.

No, my sons; for it is not a good report that I hear! You make the LORD’s people disobey.

Si un homme offense un autre homme, le juge en fait justice; mais si c'est Dieu lui-même qu'il offense, qui intercédera pour lui?..." Mais ils n'écoutaient point leur père; aussi Dieu résolut de les faire mourir.

Si pecare el hombre contra el hombre, los jueces le juzgarán; mas si alguno pecare contra Jehová, ¿quién rogará por él? Mas ellos no oyeron la voz de su padre, porque Jehová los quería matar.

If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall intreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

If one man sins against another, God will judge him; but if a man sins against the LORD, who will intercede for him?” Notwithstanding, they didn’t listen to the voice of their father, because the LORD intended to kill them.

Cependant le jeune Samuel grandissait et gagnait de plus en plus la faveur de Dieu et celle des hommes.

Y vino un varón de Dios á Eli, y díjole: Así ha dicho Jehová: ¿No me manifesté yo claramente á la casa de tu padre, cuando estaban en Egipto en casa de Faraón?

And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Did I plainly appear unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?

A man of God came to Eli and said to him, “The LORD says, ‘Did I reveal myself to the house of your father when they were in Egypt in bondage to Pharaoh’s house?

et je les ai choisis entre toutes les tribus d'Israël pour être mes pontifes, pour monter sur mon autel, pour m'offrir l'encens et porter l'éphod devant moi, et j'ai donné à ta famille une part de tous les sacrifices des enfants d'Israël;

And did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to offer upon mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings made by fire of the children of Israel?

Didn’t I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? Didn’t I give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?

et maintenant vous foulez aux pieds mes sacrifices et mes offrandes, que j'avais ordonnés pour le sanctuaire! Et tu honores tes fils plus que moi! Et vous vous engraissez du meilleur des offrandes d'Israël, des dons de mon peuple!

¿Por qué habéis hollado mis sacrificios y mis presentes, que yo mandé ofrecer en el tabernáculo; y has honrado á tus hijos más que á mí, engordándoos de lo principal de todas las ofrendas de mi pueblo Israel?

Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in my habitation; and honourest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?

Why do you kick at my sacrifice and at my offering, which I have commanded in my habitation, and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel my people?’

Eh bien! Ainsi parle l'Eternel, Dieu d'Israël: J'avais décidé que ta famille et celle de ton père fonctionneraient devant moi à perpétuité; et maintenant, dit le Seigneur, loin de moi cette pensée! Car j'honore qui m'honore, et qui m'outrage sera livré au mépris.

Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

“Therefore the LORD, the God of Israel, says, ‘I said indeed that your house and the house of your father should walk before me forever.’ But now the LORD says, ‘Far be it from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me will be cursed.

Oui, un temps viendra où je couperai court à ta force et à celle de ta famille, de manière que nul n'y vieillira.

He aquí vienen días, en que cortaré tu brazo, y el brazo de la casa de tu padre, que no haya viejo en tu casa.

Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house.

Tu connaîtras les angoisses domestiques au milieu des prospérités d'Israël, et jamais, dans ta famille, on n'atteindra à la vieillesse.

Y verás competidor en el tabernáculo, en todas las cosas en que hiciere bien á Israel; y en ningún tiempo habrá viejo en tu casa.

And thou shalt see an enemy in my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.

You will see the affliction of my habitation, in all the wealth which I will give Israel. There shall not be an old man in your house forever.

Je ne retrancherai pas tous les tiens du service de mon autel, et cela pour que tes yeux se consument et que ton âme se désole, en voyant tout espoir de ta race s'éteindre à l'âge d'homme.

Y no te cortaré del todo varón de mi altar, para hacerte marchitar tus ojos, y henchir tu ánimo de dolor; mas toda la cría de tu casa morirá en la edad varonil.

And the man of thine, whom I shall not cut off from mine altar, shall be to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thine heart: and all the increase of thine house shall die in the flower of their age.

The man of yours whom I don’t cut off from my altar will consume your eyes and grieve your heart. All the increase of your house will die in the flower of their age.

Je t'en donne pour présage ce qui arrivera à tes deux fils, Hophni et Phinéas: tous deux mourront le même jour.

Y te será por señal esto que acontecerá á tus dos hijos, Ophni y Phinees: ambos morirán en un día.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, that shall come upon thy two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas; in one day they shall die both of them.

Et je m'instituerai un prêtre fidèle, qui se conduira selon mon cœur et dans mon esprit; et je lui édifierai une maison durable, qui fonctionnera devant mon oint constamment.

Y yo me suscitaré un sacerdote fiel, que haga conforme á mi corazón y á mi alma; y yo le edificaré casa firme, y andará delante de mi ungido todos los días.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

I will raise up a faithful priest for myself who will do according to that which is in my heart and in my mind. I will build him a sure house. He will walk before my anointed forever.

Et ceux qui resteront alors de ta famille viendront se jeter à ses pieds pour une pièce d'argent, pour un morceau de pain, en disant: De grâce, admets-moi à quelque service sacerdotal, pour que j'aie du pain à manger!"

Y será que el que hubiere quedado en tu casa, vendrá á postrársele por un dinero de plata y un bocado de pan, diciéndole: Ruégote que me constituyas en algún ministerio, para que coma un bocado de pan.

And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thine house shall come and crouch to him for a piece of silver and a morsel of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a piece of bread.

It will happen that everyone who is left in your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and will say, “Please put me into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.”’”
