1 Samuel 30

Três dias depois, quando Davi e seus homens chegaram à cidade de Ziclague, viram que os amalequitas tinham atacado a cidade e a queimado completamente;

não mataram ninguém, mas levaram embora todas as mulheres, os jovens, as crianças e os idosos, e foram pelo seu caminho.

Davi estava profundamente angustiado, pois os seus homens, aflitos por causa dos seus filhos e das suas filhas, começaram a falar em apedrejá-lo. Mas Davi recebeu forças do Senhor, o seu Deus.

E Davi perguntou ao Senhor: “Devo perseguir esse bando de invasores? Eu os alcançarei?” E o Senhor disse a ele: “Sim, vá atrás deles; você os alcançará, e conseguirá recuperar tudo que eles tomaram de vocês”.

Y David consultó á Jehová, diciendo: ¿Seguiré esta tropa? ¿podréla alcanzar? Y él le dijo: Síguela, que de cierto la alcanzarás, y sin falta librarás la presa.

And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.

Então Davi e seus seiscentos homens foram atrás dos amalequitas. Quando chegaram ao ribeiro de Besor, duzentos dos homens ficaram ali.

Eles estavam tão cansados que não aguentaram atravessar o ribeiro, mas Davi e os outros quatrocentos atravessaram e continuaram a perseguição.

A caminho, encontraram um moço egípcio no campo e o trouxeram à presença de Davi. Deram-lhe água e comida:

And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick.

David asked him, “To whom do you belong? Where are you from?” He said, “I am a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days ago I got sick.

Estávamos voltando do nosso ataque aos queretitas no lado sul deles; havíamos atacado o sul de Judá e o Neguebe, e a terra de Calebe, e pusemos fogo na cidade de Ziclague”.

Pues hicimos una incursión á la parte del mediodía de Cerethi, y á Judá, y al mediodía de Caleb; y pusimos fuego á Siclag.

Davi lhe perguntou: “Você pode dizer-me para onde essa tropa foi?” O moço respondeu: “Se você jurar pelo nome de Deus que não me matará, nem me entregará ao meu senhor, então levarei você a eles”.

Y díjole David: ¿Me llevarás tú á esa tropa? Y él dijo: Hazme juramento por Dios que no me matarás, ni me entregarás en las manos de mi amo, y yo te llevaré á esa gente.

And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my master, and I will bring thee down to this company.

David said to him, “Will you bring me down to this troop?” He said, “Swear to me by God that you will not kill me and not deliver me up into the hands of my master, and I will bring you down to this troop.”

E o moço os levou ao acampamento dos amalequitas. Eles estavam espalhados pelos campos, comendo, bebendo e dançando com alegria, por causa da enorme quantidade de bens que haviam tomado dos filisteus e da terra de Judá.

Davi e seus homens os atacaram no dia seguinte, desde o amanhecer até o anoitecer. Não escapou ninguém, a não ser quatrocentos moços que fugiram montados em camelos.

E hiriólos David desde aquella mañana hasta la tarde del día siguiente: y no escapó de ellos ninguno, sino cuatrocientos mancebos, que habían subido en camellos y huyeron.

And David smote them from the twilight even unto the evening of the next day: and there escaped not a man of them, save four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled.

Davi conseguiu recuperar tudo que os amalequitas haviam tomado, inclusive as suas duas mulheres.

Não faltou coisa alguma, nem pequena nem grande, nem os filhos nem as filhas, nem os bens, nem qualquer coisa que os amalequitas tinham levado.

And there was nothing lacking to them, neither small nor great, neither sons nor daughters, neither spoil, nor any thing that they had taken to them: David recovered all.

Davi também tomou todos os rebanhos, e os levou diante dos outros animais, dizendo: “Este é o despojo de Davi”.

Quando chegaram ao ribeiro de Besor, onde estavam os duzentos homens que não puderam ir junto porque estavam cansados demais, eles saíram para receber Davi e o povo que vinha com ele. Ao aproximar-se com os seus soldados, Davi os cumprimentou com alegria.

Y vino David á los doscientos hombres que habían quedado cansados y no habían podido seguir á David, á los cuales habían hecho quedar en el torrente de Besor; y ellos salieron á recibir á David, y al pueblo que con él estaba. Y como David llegó á la gente, saludóles con paz.

Mas alguns vadios dentre os homens de Davi declararam: “Eles não foram com a gente, por isso não devem receber nada. Levem as suas mulheres e seus filhos, e vão embora”.

Entonces todos los malos y perversos de entre los que habían ido con David, respondieron y dijeron: Pues que no fueron con nosotros, no les daremos de la presa que hemos quitado, sino á cada uno su mujer y sus hijos; los cuales tomen y se vayan.

Then answered all the wicked men and men of Belial, of those that went with David, and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them ought of the spoil that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead them away, and depart.

Porém, Davi respondeu: “Não, meus irmãos! O Senhor nos guardou e nos ajudou a derrotar o inimigo que tinha nos atacado.

Then said David, Ye shall not do so, my brethren, with that which the LORD hath given us, who hath preserved us, and delivered the company that came against us into our hand.

Then David said, “Do not do so, my brothers, with that which the LORD has given to us, who has preserved us, and delivered the troop that came against us into our hand.

Acaso pensam que alguém vai dar-lhes ouvido? Haverá uma parte igual para cada grupo — uma parte para os que foram à batalha e outra para os que tomaram conta da bagagem”.

¿Y quién os escuchará en este caso? porque igual parte ha de ser la de los que vienen á la batalla, y la de los que quedan con el bagaje: que partan juntamente.

For who will hearken unto you in this matter? but as his part is that goeth down to the battle, so shall his part be that tarrieth by the stuff: they shall part alike.

Who will listen to you in this matter? For as his share is who goes down to the battle, so shall his share be who stays with the baggage. They shall share alike.”

Daquele dia em diante, Davi estabeleceu esse princípio como lei para todo o Israel, e assim é até hoje.

Y desde aquel día en adelante fué esto puesto por ley y ordenanza en Israel, hasta hoy.

Quando Davi chegou a Ziclague, mandou aos líderes de Judá uma parte do que haviam trazido, dizendo: “Eis um presente para vocês; nós tomamos isso dos inimigos do Senhor”.

Y como David llegó á Siclag, envió de la presa á los ancianos de Judá, sus amigos, diciendo: He aquí una bendición para vosotros, de la presa de los enemigos de Jehová.

And when David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of the LORD;

Os presentes foram enviados aos líderes das seguintes cidades: de Betel, de Ramote do Sul, de Jatir,

A los que estaban en Beth-el, y en Ramoth al mediodía, y á los que estaban en Jattir;

de Racal, das cidades dos jerameelitas e das cidades dos queneus,

Y á los que estaban en Rachâl, y á los que estaban en las ciudades de Jerameel, y á los que estaban en las ciudades del Cineo;

de Hormá, de Borasã, de Atace,

Y á los que estaban en Horma, y á los que estaban en Chôrasán, y á los que estaban en Athach;

de Hebrom e de todos os lugares em que Davi e seus homens haviam estado.
