Alors, Saül dit au serviteur qui portait ses armes : Tire ton épée, et perce-moi, de peur que ces incirconcis ne m'approchent, ne me percent et ne m'outragent. Le serviteur, qui portait ses armes, ne le voulut pas, car il avait grande crainte ; mais Saül prit l'épée et se jeta sur la pointe.
Entonces dijo Saúl á su escudero: Saca tu espada, y pásame con ella, porque no vengan estos incircuncisos, y me pasen, y me escarnezcan. Mas su escudero no quería, porque tenía gran temor. Entonces tomó Saúl la espada, y echóse sobre ella.
Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
Then Saul said to his armor bearer, “Draw your sword, and thrust me through with it, lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through and abuse me!” But his armor bearer would not, for he was terrified. Therefore Saul took his sword and fell on it.
