1 Samuel 5

Da aber die Leute zu Asdod sahen, daß es so zuging, sprachen sie: Laüt die Lade des Gottes Israels nicht bei uns bleiben; denn seine Hand istzu hart uber uns und unsern Gott Dagon.

Y viendo esto los de Asdod, dijeron: No quede con nosotros el arca del Dios de Israel, porque su mano es dura sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestro dios Dagón.

And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.

When the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel shall not stay with us, for his hand is severe on us and on Dagon our god.”
