Cuando los filisteos comprendieron lo que estaba ocurriendo, exclamaron: «¡No podemos tener el cofre del Dios de Israel aquí por más tiempo, porque todos moriremos juntamente con nuestro dios Dagón!».

Y viendo esto los de Asdod, dijeron: No quede con nosotros el arca del Dios de Israel, porque su mano es dura sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestro dios Dagón.

And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.
