And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Eben-ezer unto Ashdod.

Los filisteos tomaron el Arca de ʼElohim, la introdujeron en el templo de Dagón y la pusieron junto a Dagón.
Y tomaron los Filisteos el arca de Dios, y metiéronla en la casa de Dagón, y pusiéronla junto á Dagón.

Cuando los de Asdod madrugaron el día siguiente, ¡ahí estaba Dagón postrado en tierra ante el Arca de Yavé! Y tomaron a Dagón y lo devolvieron a su sitio.
Y el siguiente día los de Asdod se levantaron de mañana, y he aquí Dagón postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová: y tomaron á Dagón, y volviéronlo á su lugar.
And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.
When the people of Ashdod arose early on the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the LORD’s ark. They took Dagon and set him in his place again.
El día siguiente, al volver a levantarse de mañana, ¡ahí estaba Dagón tendido, caído en tierra ante el Arca de Yavé! Y la cabeza de Dagón y sus manos estaban cortadas en la entrada. Solo le quedó a Dagón el tronco.
Y tornándose á levantar de mañana el siguiente día, he aquí que Dagón había caído postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová; y la cabeza de Dagón y las dos palmas de sus manos estaban cortadas sobre el umbral, habiéndole quedado á Dagón el tronco solamente.
And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

La mano de Yavé se endureció sobre los de Asdod y los castigó. En Asdod y en todos sus alrededores los hirió con tumores.
Empero agravóse la mano de Jehová sobre los de Asdod, y destruyólos, é hiriólos con hemorroides en Asdod y en todos sus términos.
But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.

Cuando los hombres de Asdod vieron que eso era así, dijeron: El Arca del ʼElohim de Israel no debe permanecer con nosotros, porque su mano es dura contra nosotros y contra Dagón, nuestro ʼelohim.
Y viendo esto los de Asdod, dijeron: No quede con nosotros el arca del Dios de Israel, porque su mano es dura sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestro dios Dagón.
And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.
When the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel shall not stay with us, for his hand is severe on us and on Dagon our god.”
Convocaron a todos los jefes de los filisteos y dijeron: ¿Qué hacemos con el Arca del ʼElohim de Israel? Y ellos respondieron: Que el Arca del ʼElohim de Israel sea trasladada a Gat. Y trasladaron el Arca del ʼElohim de Israel.
Enviaron pues á juntar á sí todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, y dijeron: ¿Qué haremos del arca del Dios de Israel? Y ellos respondieron: Pásese el arca del Dios de Israel á Gath. Y pasaron allá el arca del Dios de Israel.
They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.

Pero sucedió, después que la trasladaron, que la mano de Yavé cayó contra la ciudad y causó gran consternación. Golpeó a los hombres de aquella ciudad, desde el pequeño hasta el grande, y se llenaron de tumores.
Y aconteció que como la hubieron pasado, la mano de Jehová fué contra la ciudad con grande quebrantamiento; é hirió los hombres de aquella ciudad desde el chico hasta el grande, que se llenaron de hemorroides.
And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts.
It was so, that after they had carried it there, the LORD’s hand was against the city with a very great confusion; and he struck the men of the city, both small and great, so that tumors broke out on them.
Entonces enviaron el Arca de ʼElohim a Ecrón. Y cuando el Arca de ʼElohim llegó a Ecrón, los ecronitas dieron voces y dijeron: ¡Trajeron el Arca del ʼElohim de Israel para matarnos a nosotros y a nuestro pueblo!
Entonces enviaron el arca de Dios á Ecrón. Y como el arca de Dios vino á Ecrón, los Ecronitas dieron voces diciendo: Han pasado á mí el arca del Dios de Israel por matarme á mí y á mi pueblo.
Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.
So they sent God’s ark to Ekron. As God’s ark came to Ekron, the Ekronites cried out, saying, “They have brought the ark of the God of Israel here to us, to kill us and our people.”
Convocaron a todos los jefes de los filisteos y dijeron: ¡Envíen el Arca del ʼElohim de Israel y que vuelva a su propio lugar, para que no nos mate a nosotros y a nuestro pueblo! Porque hubo un pánico mortal en toda la ciudad, y la mano de ʼElohim se endureció allí.
Y enviaron á juntar todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, diciendo: Despachad el arca del Dios de Israel, y tórnese á su lugar, y no mate á mí ni á mi pueblo: porque había quebrantamiento de muerte en toda la ciudad, y la mano de Dios se había allí agravado.
So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

Los que no morían eran afectados con tumores, y el clamor de la ciudad subía al cielo.

And the men that died not were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven.
