Os filisteus tomaram a arca de Deus e a trouxeram do campo de batalha em Ebenézer, para Asdode,

Y LOS Filisteos, tomada el arca de Dios, trajéronla desde Eben-ezer á Asdod.

And the Philistines took the ark of God, and brought it from Eben-ezer unto Ashdod.

Now the Philistines had taken God’s ark, and they brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod.

e a colocaram no templo de Dagom, junto de sua estátua.

Y tomaron los Filisteos el arca de Dios, y metiéronla en la casa de Dagón, y pusiéronla junto á Dagón.

When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the house of Dagon, and set it by Dagon.

The Philistines took God’s ark, and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it by Dagon.

Mas quando os moradores de Asdode foram ver a arca do Senhor, na manhã seguinte, a estátua de Dagom estava caída, com o rosto voltado para o chão, diante da arca do Senhor! Então eles levantaram a estátua de Dagom e a puseram em pé no seu lugar.

Y el siguiente día los de Asdod se levantaron de mañana, y he aquí Dagón postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová: y tomaron á Dagón, y volviéronlo á su lugar.

And when they of Ashdod arose early on the morrow, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. And they took Dagon, and set him in his place again.

When the people of Ashdod arose early on the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the LORD’s ark. They took Dagon and set him in his place again.

Mas, na manhã seguinte, quando se levantaram de madrugada, havia acontecido a mesma coisa — Dagom estava caído diante da arca do Senhor! Desta vez a cabeça e as mãos da estátua estavam separadas do corpo, caídas junto à porta de entrada; só ficou o tronco da imagem.

Y tornándose á levantar de mañana el siguiente día, he aquí que Dagón había caído postrado en tierra delante del arca de Jehová; y la cabeza de Dagón y las dos palmas de sus manos estaban cortadas sobre el umbral, habiéndole quedado á Dagón el tronco solamente.

And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the LORD; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.

When they arose early on the following morning, behold, Dagon had fallen on his face to the ground before the LORD’s ark; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off on the threshold. Only Dagon’s torso was intact.

É por esse motivo que até hoje, nem os sacerdotes de Dagom nem os seus adoradores pisam no batente da porta ao entrarem no templo de Dagom, em Asdode.

Por esta causa los sacerdotes de Dagón, y todos los que en el templo de Dagón entran, no pisan el umbral de Dagón en Asdod, hasta hoy.

Therefore neither the priests of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon’s house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day.

Therefore neither the priests of Dagon nor any who come into Dagon’s house step on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.

Então a mão do Senhor começou a pesar sobre o povo de Asdode e dos povoados vizinhos com uma praga de tumores.

Empero agravóse la mano de Jehová sobre los de Asdod, y destruyólos, é hiriólos con hemorroides en Asdod y en todos sus términos.

But the hand of the LORD was heavy upon them of Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with emerods, even Ashdod and the coasts thereof.

But the LORD’s hand was heavy on the people of Ashdod, and he destroyed them and struck them with tumors, even Ashdod and its borders.

Quando o povo de Asdode viu o que estava acontecendo, exclamou: “Não podemos mais ficar com a arca do Deus de Israel. Ele vai pesar a sua mão sobre todos nós e sobre o nosso deus Dagom”.

Y viendo esto los de Asdod, dijeron: No quede con nosotros el arca del Dios de Israel, porque su mano es dura sobre nosotros, y sobre nuestro dios Dagón.

And when the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, The ark of the God of Israel shall not abide with us: for his hand is sore upon us, and upon Dagon our god.

When the men of Ashdod saw that it was so, they said, “The ark of the God of Israel shall not stay with us, for his hand is severe on us and on Dagon our god.”

Então convocaram uma reunião com os governantes das cinco cidades dos filisteus e lhes perguntaram: “O que faremos com a arca do Deus de Israel?” Eles responderam: “Levem a arca do Deus de Israel para Gate”. Então os filisteus a levaram para lá.

Enviaron pues á juntar á sí todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, y dijeron: ¿Qué haremos del arca del Dios de Israel? Y ellos respondieron: Pásese el arca del Dios de Israel á Gath. Y pasaron allá el arca del Dios de Israel.

They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto Gath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.

They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, “What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel?” They answered, “Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried over to Gath.” They carried the ark of the God of Israel there.

Mas quando a arca chegou lá, o Senhor começou a castigar a população daquela cidade. Ele feriu o povo daquela cidade, jovens e velhos, com uma epidemia de tumores, e o povo ficou em completo desespero.

Y aconteció que como la hubieron pasado, la mano de Jehová fué contra la ciudad con grande quebrantamiento; é hirió los hombres de aquella ciudad desde el chico hasta el grande, que se llenaron de hemorroides.

And it was so, that, after they had carried it about, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: and he smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had emerods in their secret parts.

It was so, that after they had carried it there, the LORD’s hand was against the city with a very great confusion; and he struck the men of the city, both small and great, so that tumors broke out on them.

Por isso mandaram a arca de Deus para Ecrom, mas quando o povo de Ecrom viu que ela se aproximava, começaram a gritar: “Estão trazendo a arca do Deus de Israel para cá, para matar a nós e os nossos filhos!”

Entonces enviaron el arca de Dios á Ecrón. Y como el arca de Dios vino á Ecrón, los Ecronitas dieron voces diciendo: Han pasado á mí el arca del Dios de Israel por matarme á mí y á mi pueblo.

Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, They have brought about the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people.

So they sent God’s ark to Ekron. As God’s ark came to Ekron, the Ekronites cried out, saying, “They have brought the ark of the God of Israel here to us, to kill us and our people.”

Então reuniram de novo todos os governantes dos filisteus e imploraram: “Mandem embora a arca do Deus de Israel; que volte para o seu lugar; para que o povo filisteu não morra”, pois muitas pessoas já estavam afetadas pela epidemia, e a cidade inteira tremia de medo.

Y enviaron á juntar todos los príncipes de los Filisteos, diciendo: Despachad el arca del Dios de Israel, y tórnese á su lugar, y no mate á mí ni á mi pueblo: porque había quebrantamiento de muerte en toda la ciudad, y la mano de Dios se había allí agravado.

So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of God was very heavy there.

They sent therefore and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and they said, “Send the ark of the God of Israel away, and let it go again to its own place, that it not kill us and our people.” For there was a deadly panic throughout all the city. The hand of God was very heavy there.

As pessoas que não morreram estavam gravemente enfermas pelos tumores, e a lamentação da cidade subiu até o céu.

Y los que no morían, eran heridos de hemorroides; y el clamor de la ciudad subía al cielo.

And the men that died not were smitten with the emerods: and the cry of the city went up to heaven.

The men who didn’t die were struck with the tumors; and the cry of the city went up to heaven.
