A arca do Senhor permaneceu sete meses na terra dos filisteus.

Y ESTUVO el arca de Jehová en la tierra de los Filisteos siete meses.

And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.

Então os filisteus chamaram seus sacerdotes e adivinhos e perguntaram: “O que vamos fazer com a arca do Senhor? Digam-nos como devemos mandá-la de volta para a sua própria terra?”

Entonces los Filisteos, llamando los sacerdotes y adivinos, preguntaron: ¿Qué haremos del arca de Jehová? Declaradnos cómo la hemos de tornar á enviar á su lugar.

And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.

Eles responderam: “Se vocês devolverem a arca do Deus de Israel, não a devolvam simplesmente, mas mandem de volta com uma oferta pela culpa. Dessa maneira vocês serão curados, e saberão por que o Deus de Israel mandou a epidemia sobre vocês”.

Y ellos dijeron: Si enviáis el arca del Dios de Israel, no la enviéis vacía; mas le pagaréis la expiación: y entonces seréis sanos, y conoceréis por qué no se apartó de vosotros su mano.

And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

They said, “If you send away the ark of the God of Israel, don’t send it empty; but by all means return a trespass offering to him. Then you will be healed, and it will be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.”

“Que oferta pela culpa devemos mandar?”, os filisteus perguntaram. E os sacerdotes e adivinhos responderam: “Mandem cinco modelos de ouro dos tumores causados pela epidemia, e cinco modelos de ouro dos ratos que vêm arruinando toda a terra, de acordo com o número de governantes filisteus, visto que a mesma praga atingiu vocês e os seus governantes.

Y ellos dijeron: ¿Y qué será la expiación que le pagaremos? Y ellos respondieron: Conforme al número de los príncipes de los Filisteos, cinco hemorroides de oro, y cinco ratones de oro, porque la misma plaga que todos tienen, tienen también vuestros príncipes.

Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

Then they said, “What should the trespass offering be which we shall return to him?” They said, “Five golden tumors and five golden mice, for the number of the lords of the Philistines; for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

Façam imagens dos tumores e dos ratos que andam castigando vocês e deem louvores ao Deus de Israel. Talvez ele pare de castigar vocês, e os deuses que vocês adoram, e a terra de vocês.

Haréis pues las formas de vuestras hemorroides, y las formas de vuestros ratones que destruyen la tierra, y daréis gloria al Dios de Israel: quizá aliviará su mano de sobre vosotros, y de sobre vuestros dioses, y de sobre vuestra tierra.

Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.

Therefore you shall make images of your tumors and images of your mice that mar the land; and you shall give glory to the God of Israel. Perhaps he will release his hand from you, from your gods, and from your land.

Não sejam teimosos e rebeldes como o faraó e os egípcios. Eles não quiseram permitir que Israel saísse, até que Deus os destruiu com pragas horrorosas.

Mas ¿por qué endurecéis vuestro corazón, como los Egipcios y Faraón endurecieron su corazón? Después que los hubo así tratado, ¿no los dejaron que se fuesen, y se fueron?

Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?

“Agora construam um carroça nova e peguem duas vacas novas que deram crias, mas que nunca antes puxaram uma carroça; amarrem-nas à carroça, mas os bezerrinhos vocês levem para casa e prendam no curral.

Haced pues ahora un carro nuevo, y tomad luego dos vacas que críen, á las cuales no haya sido puesto yugo, y uncid las vacas al carro, y haced tornar de detrás de ellas sus becerros á casa.

Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:

“Now therefore take and prepare yourselves a new cart and two milk cows on which there has come no yoke; and tie the cows to the cart, and bring their calves home from them;

Coloquem a arca do Senhor sobre a carroça, ao lado de uma caixa com as ofertas pela culpa, com os modelos de ouro dos ratos e dos tumores, e deixem que as vacas sigam pelo caminho.

Tomaréis luego el arca de Jehová, y la pondréis sobre el carro; y poned en una caja al lado de ella las alhajas de oro que le pagáis en expiación: y la dejaréis que se vaya.

And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.

Fiquem observando. Se elas cruzarem a fronteira de nossa terra e se dirigirem para Bete-Semes, então saberemos que foi o Senhor que trouxe este grande castigo sobre nós. Se não seguirem e voltarem a seus bezerros, então saberemos que não foi a sua mão que nos tocou, e que a praga foi simples coincidência”.

Y mirad: si sube por el camino de su término á Beth-semes, él nos ha hecho este mal tan grande; y si no, seremos ciertos que su mano no nos hirió, nos ha sido accidente.

And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Beth-shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.

Behold, if it goes up by the way of its own border to Beth Shemesh, then he has done us this great evil; but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that struck us. It was a chance that happened to us.”

E o povo fez conforme as instruções recebidas. Pegaram duas vacas com os bezerrinhos novos, amarraram-nas a uma carroça, e seus bezerros ficaram presos no curral.

Y aquellos hombres lo hicieron así; pues tomando dos vacas que criaban, unciéronlas al carro, y encerraron en casa sus becerros.

And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:

Depois colocaram na carroça a arca do Senhor e a caixa com as imitações de ouro dos ratos e dos tumores.

Luego pusieron el arca de Jehová sobre el carro, y la caja con los ratones de oro y con las formas de sus hemorroides.

And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.

They put the LORD’s ark on the cart, and the box with the golden mice and the images of their tumors.

E de fato as vacas seguiram diretamente pela estrada que vai para Bete-Semes, e iam mugindo por todo o caminho enquanto puxavam a carroça; não se desviaram nem para a direita nem para a esquerda. Os governantes filisteus foram atrás delas até as fronteiras de Bete-Semes.

Y las vacas se encaminaron por el camino de Beth-semes, é iban por un mismo camino andando y bramando, sin apartarse ni á diestra ni á siniestra: y los príncipes de los Filisteos fueron tras ellas hasta el término de Beth-semes.

And the kine took the straight way to the way of Beth-shemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Beth-shemesh.

Os moradores de Bete-Semes estavam colhendo trigo no vale e, quando viram a arca, gritaram de muita alegria!

Y los de Beth-semes segaban el trigo en el valle; y alzando sus ojos vieron el arca, y holgáronse cuando la vieron.

And they of Beth-shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.

A carroça entrou no campo de um homem chamado Josué, e parou ao lado de uma grande pedra. Então o povo cortou em pedaços a madeira da carroça para fazer fogo, matou as vacas, e as ofereceu como sacrifício queimado ao Senhor.

And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Beth-shemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.

Diversos homens da tribo de Levi retiraram a arca do Senhor e a caixa da carroça e as colocaram sobre a grande pedra. Naquele dia, o povo de Bete-Semes ofereceu sacrifícios queimados, e outros sacrifícios ao Senhor.

Y los Levitas bajaron el arca de Jehová, y la caja que estaba junto á ella, en la cual estaban las alhajas de oro, y pusiéronlas sobre aquella gran piedra: y los hombres de Beth-semes sacrificaron holocaustos y mataron víctimas á Jehová en aquel día.

And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Beth-shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.

Depois que os cinco governantes filisteus viram tudo aquilo, voltaram a Ecrom naquele mesmo dia.

Lo cual viendo los cinco príncipes de los Filisteos, volviéronse á Ecrón el mismo día.

Os cinco modelos de ouro dos tumores, enviados pelos filisteus como oferta ao Senhor pela culpa, eram presentes dos governantes das principais cidades, ou seja: Asdode, Gaza, Ascalom, Gate e Ecrom.

Estas pues son las hemorroides de oro que pagaron los Filisteos á Jehová en expiación: por Asdod una, por Gaza una, por Ascalón una, por Gath una, por Ecrón una;

And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;

O número de ratos de ouro era para oferta a Deus pela culpa das outras cidades dos filisteus, que pertenciam aos cinco governantes, tanto as cidades fortificadas como os povoados do interior. A grande rocha sobre a qual puseram a arca do Senhor ainda pode ser vista em Bete-Semes, no campo de Josué, até o dia hoje.

Y ratones de oro conforme al número de todas las ciudades de los Filisteos pertenecientes á los cinco príncipes, desde las ciudades fuertes hasta las aldeas sin muro; y hasta la gran piedra sobre la cual pusieron el arca de Jehová, piedra que está en el campo de Josué Beth-semita hasta hoy.

And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth-shemite.

Porém, o Senhor matou setenta homens de Bete-Semes, porque olharam para dentro da arca do Senhor. E o povo chorou por causa das muitas pessoas que foram mortas pelo Senhor.

Entonces hirió Dios á los de Beth-semes, porque habían mirado en el arca de Jehová; hirió en el pueblo cincuenta mil y setenta hombres. Y el pueblo puso luto, porque Jehová le había herido de tan gran plaga.

And he smote the men of Beth-shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

He struck of the men of Beth Shemesh, because they had looked into the LORD’s ark, he struck fifty thousand seventy of the men. Then the people mourned, because the LORD had struck the people with a great slaughter.

“Quem pode estar perante o Senhor, este Deus santo?”, clamaram. “A quem enviaremos a arca para que fique longe de nós?”

Y dijeron los de Beth-semes: ¿Quién podrá estar delante de Jehová el Dios santo? ¿y á quién subirá desde nosotros?

And the men of Beth-shemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

The men of Beth Shemesh said, “Who is able to stand before the LORD, this holy God? To whom shall he go up from us?”

Assim, mandaram mensageiros ao povo de Quiriate-Jearim, dizendo: “Os filisteus devolveram a arca do Senhor. Desçam até aqui e levem a arca”, eles imploraram.

Y enviaron mensajeros á los de Chîriath-jearim, diciendo: Los Filisteos han vuelto el arca de Jehová: descended pues, y llevadla á vosotros.

And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath-jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.
