6Los israelitas se reunieron en Mizpa, sacaron agua y la derramaron ante Yahvé como un acto de humildad. Ese día ayunaron y confesaron: “Hemos pecado contra Yahvé”. Fue en Mizpa donde Samuel comenzó a actuar como juez de los israelitas.

6Y juntándose en Mizpa, sacaron agua, y derramáronla delante de Jehová, y ayunaron aquel día, y dijeron allí: Contra Jehová hemos pecado. Y juzgó Samuel á los hijos de Israel en Mizpa.
