And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.

et il s'en fera des chefs de mille et des chefs de cinquante ; et il les prendra pour labourer ses champs et récolter sa moisson et pour fabriquer ses instruments de guerre et l'attirail de ses chariots.

Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;

et nous serons, nous aussi, comme toutes les nations ; et notre roi nous jugera et sortira devant nous et fera nos guerres.
Y nosotros seremos también como todas las gentes, y nuestro rey nos gobernará, y saldrá delante de nosotros, y hará nuestras guerras.
