We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;

Cuando oramos a nuestro Dios y Padre, los recordamos constantemente a causa de la fe que tienen y demuestran con hechos, del amor que los empuja al trabajo, y de la esperanza en nuestro Señor Jesucristo que los mantiene firmes.
Sin cesar acordándonos delante del Dios y Padre nuestro de la obra de vuestra fe, y del trabajo de amor, y de la tolerancia de la esperanza del Señor nuestro Jesucristo:
Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father;
remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.
Hermanos amados de Dios, sabemos que él los ha escogido.
Sabiendo, hermanos amados de Dios, vuestra elección:
Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God.
We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,
Esto lo sabemos porque cuando les anunciamos el evangelio, les llegó no sólo con palabras sino también con el poder del Espíritu Santo y con una gran seguridad. Ustedes saben que cuando estuvimos entre ustedes buscamos sólo su bien.
Por cuanto nuestro evangelio no fué á vosotros en palabra solamente, mas también en potencia, y en Espíritu Santo, y en gran plenitud; como sabéis cuáles fuimos entre vosotros por amor de vosotros.
For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.
and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.
Ustedes siguieron nuestro ejemplo y el del Señor, cuando, a pesar de todo el sufrimiento, recibieron el mensaje con la alegría que da el Espíritu Santo.
Y vosotros fuisteis hechos imitadores de nosotros, y del Señor, recibiendo la palabra con mucha tribulación, con gozo del Espíritu Santo:
And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

Por eso se convirtieron en ejemplo para todos los creyentes de Macedonia y Acaya.
En tal manera que habéis sido ejemplo á todos los que han creído en Macedonia y en Acaya.
So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

El mensaje del Señor salió de ustedes y ya se ha anunciado no sólo en Macedonia y Acaya sino por todos lados. La fe de ustedes en Dios es tan conocida que ya no es necesario que nosotros digamos nada,
Porque de vosotros ha sido divulgada la palabra del Señor no sólo en Macedonia y en Acaya, mas aun en todo lugar vuestra fe en Dios se ha extendido; de modo que no tenemos necesidad de hablar nada.
For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.
For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not say anything.
pues todos cuentan lo bien que ustedes nos recibieron y cómo dejaron los ídolos para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero.
Porque ellos cuentan de nosotros cuál entrada tuvimos á vosotros; y cómo os convertisteis de los ídolos á Dios, para servir al Dios vivo y verdadero,
For they themselves shew of us what manner of entering in we had unto you, and how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God;
For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,
También cuentan cómo ustedes esperan que Jesús regrese del cielo: él, que es el Hijo amado de Dios, a quien Dios resucitó y quien nos libra del castigo que viene.
Y esperar á su Hijo de los cielos, al cual resucitó de los muertos; á Jesús, el cual nos libró de la ira que ha de venir.
And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
