Darum auch wir ohne Unterlaß Gott danken, daß ihr, da ihr empfinget von uns das Wort göttlicher Predigt, nahmet ihr's auf nicht als Menschenwort, sondern (wie es denn wahrhaftig ist) als Gottes Wort; welcher auch wirket in euch, die ihr glaubet.

For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
