Por fin nuestro deseo de tener noticias de ustedes fue tan fuerte que, mientras nosotros estábamos esperando en Atenas,
POR lo cual, no pudiendo esperar más, acordamos quedarnos solos en Atenas,
Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;
Therefore when we couldn’t stand it any longer, we thought it good to be left behind at Athens alone,
Enviamos a Timoteo, nuestro hermano y siervo de Dios en las buenas nuevas de Cristo, para darles fortaleza y consuelo en su fe;
Y enviamos á Timoteo, nuestro hermano, y ministro de Dios, y colaborador nuestro en el evangelio de Cristo, á confirmaros y exhortaros en vuestra fe,
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s servant in the Good News of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,
Para que ningún hombre se conmueva por estos problemas; porque estas cosas son parte del propósito de Dios para nosotros.
Para que nadie se conmueva por estas tribulaciones; porque vosotros sabéis que nosotros somos puestos para esto.
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

Y cuando estábamos con ustedes, les dijimos que tendríamos tribulaciones; y así sucedió, como ya sabes.
Que aun estando con vosotros, os predecíamos que habíamos de pasar tribulaciones, como ha acontecido y sabéis.
For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.
Por esta razón, cuando ya no fui capaz de aguantar la incertidumbre, envié un mensaje para recibir noticias de su fe, temiendo que puedan ser probados por el Maligno y que nuestro trabajo pueda quedar en nada.
Por lo cual, también yo, no esperando más, he enviado á reconocer vuestra fe, no sea que os haya tentado el tentador, y que nuestro trabajo haya sido en vano.
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.
Pero ahora que Timoteo ha venido a nosotros de con ustedes y nos ha dado buenas noticias de su fe y amor, y que tienen recuerdos felices de nosotros, deseando vernos en gran manera, así como nosotros queremos verlos;
Empero volviendo de vosotros á nosotros Timoteo, y haciéndonos saber vuestra fe y caridad, y que siempre tenéis buena memoria de nosotros, deseando vernos, como también nosotros á vosotros,
But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.
Por esta causa, hermanos, en todos nuestros problemas y penas, tuvimos consuelo en ustedes por su fe;
En ello, hermanos, recibimos consolación de vosotros en toda nuestra necesidad y aflicción por causa de vuestra fe:
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.
Porque es vida para nosotros si mantienen su fe en el Señor sin cambio.
Porque ahora vivimos, si vosotros estáis firmes en el Señor.
For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

Porque cuán grande es la alabanza que le damos a Dios por ustedes, y cuán grande es la alegría con la que nos alegramos por ustedes ante nuestro Dios;
Por lo cual, ¿qué hacimiento de gracias podremos dar á Dios por vosotros, por todo el gozo con que nos gozamos á causa de vosotros delante de nuestro Dios,
For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;
For what thanksgiving can we give again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,
Noche y día solicitando a Dios una y otra vez que podamos ver tu rostro y completar lo que les falta en la fe.
Orando de noche y de día con grande instancia, que veamos vuestro rostro, y que cumplamos lo que falta á vuestra fe?
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Ahora que nuestro Dios y Padre mismo y nuestro Señor Jesús guíe nuestro camino para que vayamos a ustedes;

Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

Y el Señor les dé un aumento de amor en abundancia unos con otros y para con todos los hombres, así como nuestro amor hacia ustedes;

Para que sus corazones sean fuertes y libres de todo pecado delante de nuestro Dios y Padre, a la venida de nuestro Señor Jesús con todos sus santos.
Para que sean confirmados vuestros corazones en santidad, irreprensibles delante de Dios y nuestro Padre, para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo con todos sus santos.
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
