POR lo cual, no pudiendo esperar más, acordamos quedarnos solos en Atenas,
Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;

Nós enviamos Timóteo, nosso irmão e ministro de Deus no Evangelho de Cristo, para vos fortalecer e confortar em relação à vossa fé.
Y enviamos á Timoteo, nuestro hermano, y ministro de Dios, y colaborador nuestro en el evangelio de Cristo, á confirmaros y exhortaros en vuestra fe,
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s servant in the Good News of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,
Nós fizemos isso com o desejo de que ninguém fosse abalado por essas tribulações. Pois vós sabeis que foi para isso que fomos destinados.
Para que nadie se conmueva por estas tribulaciones; porque vosotros sabéis que nosotros somos puestos para esto.
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
that no one would be moved by these afflictions. For you know that we are appointed to this task.
Verdadeiramente, quando estávamos convosco, predissemos que haveríamos de sofrer aflição, e isso aconteceu, como vós sabeis.
Que aun estando con vosotros, os predecíamos que habíamos de pasar tribulaciones, como ha acontecido y sabéis.
For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.
Por essa razão, quando eu não podia mais suportar, eu o enviei para poder saber acerca da vossa fé, pois talvez o tentador, de alguma maneira, houvesse vos tentado e nosso trabalho tivesse sido em vão.
Por lo cual, también yo, no esperando más, he enviado á reconocer vuestra fe, no sea que os haya tentado el tentador, y que nuestro trabajo haya sido en vano.
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.
Mas Timóteo retornou a nós e trouxe boas notícias da vossa fé e amor. Conforme ele nos disse, vós sempre tendes boas lembranças de nós e desejais nos ver, assim como também nós desejamos ver a vós.
Empero volviendo de vosotros á nosotros Timoteo, y haciéndonos saber vuestra fe y caridad, y que siempre tenéis buena memoria de nosotros, deseando vernos, como también nosotros á vosotros,
But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.
Por causa disso, irmãos, nós fomos confortados por causa da vossa fé, em toda a nossa angústia e aflição.
En ello, hermanos, recibimos consolación de vosotros en toda nuestra necesidad y aflicción por causa de vuestra fe:
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.
Pois nós agora vivemos, se vós permanecerdes firmes no Senhor.
Porque ahora vivimos, si vosotros estáis firmes en el Señor.
For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

Pois quantas graças podemos dar a Deus por vós, por toda alegria que nós temos diante de Deus por vossa causa?
Por lo cual, ¿qué hacimiento de gracias podremos dar á Dios por vosotros, por todo el gozo con que nos gozamos á causa de vosotros delante de nuestro Dios,
For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;
For what thanksgiving can we give again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,
Noite e dia nós oramos arduamente para ver vossas faces e prover aquilo que falta à vossa fé.
Orando de noche y de día con grande instancia, que veamos vuestro rostro, y que cumplamos lo que falta á vuestra fe?
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Que o próprio Deus, nosso Pai, e nosso Senhor Jesus, direcionem nosso caminho até vós.
Mas el mismo Dios y Padre nuestro, y el Señor nuestro Jesucristo, encamine nuestro viaje á vosotros.

E que o Senhor vos faça crescer e abundar no amor uns para com os outros e para com todos as pessoas, assim como nós também fazemos para convosco.
Y á vosotros multiplique el Señor, y haga abundar el amor entre vosotros, y para con todos, como es también de nosotros para con vosotros;

Que Ele fortaleça os vossos corações, a fim de que sejam irrepreensíveis em santidade diante do nosso Deus e Pai, na vinda do nosso Senhor Jesus com todos os Seus santos.
Para que sean confirmados vuestros corazones en santidad, irreprensibles delante de Dios y nuestro Padre, para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo con todos sus santos.
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
