Por eso les enviamos a Timoteo, hermano nuestro y colaborador de Dios en el anuncio del evangelio de Cristo, para que los anime y haga más firmes en su fe,
Y enviamos á Timoteo, nuestro hermano, y ministro de Dios, y colaborador nuestro en el evangelio de Cristo, á confirmaros y exhortaros en vuestra fe,
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

y así nadie dude a causa de estos sufrimientos. Ustedes saben bien que para esto se nos destinó.
Para que nadie se conmueva por estas tribulaciones; porque vosotros sabéis que nosotros somos puestos para esto.
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

Cuando todavía estábamos con ustedes, les advertimos que íbamos a sufrir mucho. Y como ustedes saben, así sucedió.
Que aun estando con vosotros, os predecíamos que habíamos de pasar tribulaciones, como ha acontecido y sabéis.
For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.
Por eso, cuando ya no pude soportar más, envié a Timoteo para que se informara de cómo estaban ustedes en cuanto a su fe. Temía que el tentador los hubiera hecho caer y que nuestro trabajo hubiera sido en vano.
Por lo cual, también yo, no esperando más, he enviado á reconocer vuestra fe, no sea que os haya tentado el tentador, y que nuestro trabajo haya sido en vano.
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.
Timoteo acaba de regresar de Tesalónica con las buenas noticias de la fe y del amor de ustedes. También nos dice que nos recuerdan con cariño y que tienen tantas ganas de vernos, como nosotros a ustedes.
Empero volviendo de vosotros á nosotros Timoteo, y haciéndonos saber vuestra fe y caridad, y que siempre tenéis buena memoria de nosotros, deseando vernos, como también nosotros á vosotros,
But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.
Por eso, hermanos, a pesar de todas nuestras angustias y sufrimientos, ustedes nos han animado por medio de su fe.
En ello, hermanos, recibimos consolación de vosotros en toda nuestra necesidad y aflicción por causa de vuestra fe:
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.
Nos reanima el saber que ustedes están firmes en el Señor.
Porque ahora vivimos, si vosotros estáis firmes en el Señor.

¿Cómo podremos agradecer suficientemente a Dios por ustedes y por la alegría que nos han dado delante de él?
Por lo cual, ¿qué hacimiento de gracias podremos dar á Dios por vosotros, por todo el gozo con que nos gozamos á causa de vosotros delante de nuestro Dios,
For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;
For what thanksgiving can we give again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,
Día y noche le suplicamos que nos permita volver a verlos para completar lo que le falta a su fe.
Orando de noche y de día con grande instancia, que veamos vuestro rostro, y que cumplamos lo que falta á vuestra fe?
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Le rogamos a Dios nuestro Padre, y a nuestro Señor Jesús, que preparen nuestro camino para poder ir a verlos.
Mas el mismo Dios y Padre nuestro, y el Señor nuestro Jesucristo, encamine nuestro viaje á vosotros.
Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

Le rogamos al Señor que los haga crecer y que ustedes se amen más unos a otros y a todos, así como nosotros los amamos a ustedes.

Le rogamos a Dios que fortalezca sus corazones, y que, cuando nuestro Señor Jesús venga con todos sus santos, ustedes vivan en santidad y nadie pueda acusarlos de nada delante de nuestro Dios y Padre.
Para que sean confirmados vuestros corazones en santidad, irreprensibles delante de Dios y nuestro Padre, para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo con todos sus santos.
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
