y enviamos a Timoteo nuestro hermano, servidor de Dios y colaborador nuestro en el evangelio de Cristo, para confirmarles y exhortarles respecto a su de ustedes fe,
Y enviamos á Timoteo, nuestro hermano, y ministro de Dios, y colaborador nuestro en el evangelio de Cristo, á confirmaros y exhortaros en vuestra fe,
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:

«a fin de que» nadie se inquiete por estas tribulaciones; porque ustedes mismos saben que para esto estamos puestos.
Para que nadie se conmueva por estas tribulaciones; porque vosotros sabéis que nosotros somos puestos para esto.
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.
that no one would be moved by these afflictions. For you know that we are appointed to this task.
Porque también estando con ustedes, les predecíamos que íbamos a pasar tribulaciones, como ha acontecido y saben.
Que aun estando con vosotros, os predecíamos que habíamos de pasar tribulaciones, como ha acontecido y sabéis.
For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.
Por lo cual también yo, no pudiendo soportar más, envié para informarme de su de ustedes fe, no sea que les hubiese tentado el tentador, y que nuestro trabajo resultase en vano.
Por lo cual, también yo, no esperando más, he enviado á reconocer vuestra fe, no sea que os haya tentado el tentador, y que nuestro trabajo haya sido en vano.
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.
Pero cuando Timoteo volvió de ustedes a nosotros, y nos dio buenas noticias de su de ustedes fe y amor, y que siempre nos recuerdan con cariño, deseando vernos, como también nosotros a ustedes,
Empero volviendo de vosotros á nosotros Timoteo, y haciéndonos saber vuestra fe y caridad, y que siempre tenéis buena memoria de nosotros, deseando vernos, como también nosotros á vosotros,
But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.
por ello, hermanos, en medio de toda nuestra necesidad y aflicción fuimos consolados de ustedes por medio de su de ustedes fe;
En ello, hermanos, recibimos consolación de vosotros en toda nuestra necesidad y aflicción por causa de vuestra fe:
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.
porque ahora vivimos, si ustedes están firmes en el Señor.

Por lo cual, ¿qué acción de gracias podremos dar a Dios por ustedes, por todo el gozo con que nos gozamos a causa de ustedes en presencia delante de nuestro Dios,

For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;

orando de noche y de día con gran insistencia, para que veamos su de ustedes rostro, y completemos lo que falte a su de ustedes fe?

Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

Mas el mismo Dios y Padre nuestro, y nuestro Señor Jesús, el Cristo, dirija nuestro camino a ustedes.

para que sean afirmados sus de ustedes corazones, irreprensibles en santidad en presencia delante de Dios nuestro Padre, en la venida de nuestro Señor Jesús, el Cristo con todos sus santos.

To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
