Por este motivo no pudiendo sufrir más estar sin saber de vosotros, tuvimos por bien quedarnos solos en Atenas.
POR lo cual, no pudiendo esperar más, acordamos quedarnos solos en Atenas,
Wherefore when we could no longer forbear, we thought it good to be left at Athens alone;

Y despachamos a Timoteo, hermano nuestro y ministro de Dios en la predicación de la buena nueva de Jesucristo, para confirmaros y esforzaros en vuestra fe,
Y enviamos á Timoteo, nuestro hermano, y ministro de Dios, y colaborador nuestro en el evangelio de Cristo, á confirmaros y exhortaros en vuestra fe,
And sent Timotheus, our brother, and minister of God, and our fellowlabourer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith:
and sent Timothy, our brother and God’s servant in the Good News of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,
a fin de que ninguno se conturbe ni bambalee por estas tribulaciones; pues vosotros mismos sabéis que a esto estamos destinados.
Para que nadie se conmueva por estas tribulaciones; porque vosotros sabéis que nosotros somos puestos para esto.
That no man should be moved by these afflictions: for yourselves know that we are appointed thereunto.

Porque ya cuando estábamos con vosotros, os predecíamos que habíamos de padecer tribulaciones, así como ha sucedido, y tenéis noticia de ello.
Que aun estando con vosotros, os predecíamos que habíamos de pasar tribulaciones, como ha acontecido y sabéis.
For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.
For most certainly, when we were with you, we told you beforehand that we are to suffer affliction, even as it happened, and you know.
Por esto mismo no pudiendo ya sufrir más, envié a informarme de vuestra fe, temiendo que el tentador os hubiese tentado, y se perdiese nuestro trabajo.
Por lo cual, también yo, no esperando más, he enviado á reconocer vuestra fe, no sea que os haya tentado el tentador, y que nuestro trabajo haya sido en vano.
For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.
For this cause I also, when I couldn’t stand it any longer, sent that I might know your faith, for fear that by any means the tempter had tempted you, and our labor would have been in vain.
Pero ahora que Timoteo, ha regresado, nos ha traído nuevas de la fe y caridad vuestra, y cómo conserváis siempre buena memoria de nosotros, deseando vernos, igualmente que nosotros os deseamos ver también;
Empero volviendo de vosotros á nosotros Timoteo, y haciéndonos saber vuestra fe y caridad, y que siempre tenéis buena memoria de nosotros, deseando vernos, como también nosotros á vosotros,
But now when Timotheus came from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also to see you:
But Timothy has just now come to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you.
con eso, hermanos, hemos tenido gran consuelo a vista de vuestra fe, en medio de todas nuestras necesidades y tribulaciones;
En ello, hermanos, recibimos consolación de vosotros en toda nuestra necesidad y aflicción por causa de vuestra fe:
Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
For this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith.
porque ahora podemos decir que vivimos, puesto que vosotros estáis firmes en el Señor.

Y en efecto, ¿qué acción de gracias bastante podemos tributar a Dios por vosotros, por todo el gozo que experimentamos por vuestra causa delante de nuestro Dios?
Por lo cual, ¿qué hacimiento de gracias podremos dar á Dios por vosotros, por todo el gozo con que nos gozamos á causa de vosotros delante de nuestro Dios,
For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we joy for your sakes before our God;
For what thanksgiving can we give again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,
Esto es lo que nos hace rogarle día y noche con la mayor instancia, que nos permita pasar a veros y acabar las instrucciones que faltan a vuestra fe.
Orando de noche y de día con grande instancia, que veamos vuestro rostro, y que cumplamos lo que falta á vuestra fe?
Night and day praying exceedingly that we might see your face, and might perfect that which is lacking in your faith?

¡Oh! quiera el Dios y padre nuestro , y nuestro Señor Jesucristo, dirigir nuestros pasos hacia vosotros.
Mas el mismo Dios y Padre nuestro, y el Señor nuestro Jesucristo, encamine nuestro viaje á vosotros.
Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way unto you.

Entretanto el Señor os multiplique, y aumente vuestra caridad recíprocamente, y para con todos, tal cual es la nuestra para con vosotros, santidad, y ser irreprensibles delante de Dios y padre nuestro , para cuando venga nuestro Señor Jesucristo con todos sus santos. Amén.
Y á vosotros multiplique el Señor, y haga abundar el amor entre vosotros, y para con todos, como es también de nosotros para con vosotros;

Por lo demás, hermanos, os rogamos y conjuramos por el Señor Jesús , que según aprendisteis de nosotros el modo como debéis portaros y agradar a Dios, así procedáis, para adelantar más y más en el camino del Señor.
Para que sean confirmados vuestros corazones en santidad, irreprensibles delante de Dios y nuestro Padre, para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo con todos sus santos.
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.
