Von den Zeiten aber und Stunden, liebe Bruder, ist nicht not, euch zu schreiben.
EMPERO acerca de los tiempos y de los momentos, no tenéis, hermanos, necesidad de que yo os escriba:
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
Denn ihr selbst wisset gewiß, daß der Tag des Herrn wird kommen wie ein Dieb in der Nacht.
Porque vosotros sabéis bien, que el día del Señor vendrá así como ladrón de noche,
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
Denn wenn sie werden sagen: Es ist Friede, es hat keine Gefahr! so wird sie das Verderben schnell überfallen, gleich wie der Schmerz ein schwanger Weib, und werden nicht entfliehen.
Que cuando dirán, Paz y seguridad, entonces vendrá sobre ellos destrucción de repente, como los dolores á la mujer preñada; y no escaparán.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
Ihr aber, liebe Bruder, seid nicht in der Finsternis, dafi euch der Tag wie ein Dieb ergreife.
Mas vosotros, hermanos, no estáis en tinieblas, para que aquel día os sobrecoja como ladrón;
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
Ihr seid allzumal Kinder des Lichts und Kinder des Tages; wir sind nicht von der Nacht noch von der Finsternis.
Porque todos vosotros sois hijos de luz, é hijos del día; no somos de la noche, ni de las tinieblas.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,
So lasset uns nun nicht schlafen wie die andern, sondern lasset uns wachen und nuchtern sein.
Por tanto, no durmamos como los demás; antes velemos y seamos sobrios.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Denn die da schlafen, die schlafen des Nachts, und die da trunken sind, die sind des Nachts trunken.

For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

Wir aber, die wir des Tages sind, sollen nuchtern sein, angetan mit dem Krebs des Glaubens und der Liebe und mit dem Helm der Hoffnung zur Seligkeit.
Mas nosotros, que somos del día, estemos sobrios, vestidos de cota de fe y de caridad, y la esperanza de salud por yelmo.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

Denn Gott hat uns nicht gesetzt zum Zorn, sondern die Seligkeit zu besitzen durch unsern Herrn Jesum Christum,

El cual murió por nosotros, para que ó que velemos, ó que durmamos, vivamos juntamente con él.

Darum ermahnet euch untereinander und bauet einer den andern, wie ihr denn tut.

Wir bitten euch aber, liebe Bruder, dafi ihr erkennet, die an euch arbeiten und euch vorstehen in dem Herrn und euch vermahnen.
Y os rogamos, hermanos, que reconozcáis á los que trabajan entre vosotros, y os presiden en el Señor, y os amonestan:
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

Habt sie desto lieber urn ihres Werks willen und seidfriedsam mit ihnen.
Y que los tengáis en mucha estima por amor de su obra. Tened paz los unos con los otros.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Wirermahnen euch aber, liebe Bruder, vermahnet die Ungezogenen, trostet die Kleinmutigen, traget die Schwachen, seid geduldig gegen jedermann.
También os rogamos, hermanos, que amonestéis á los que andan desordenadamente, que consoléis á los de poco ánimo, que soportéis á los flacos, que seáis sufridos para con todos.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.
Sehet zu, daß niemand Boses mit Bosem jemand vergelte, sondern allezeit jaget dem Guten nach, beide, untereinander und gegen jedermann.
Mirad que ninguno dé á otro mal por mal; antes seguid lo bueno siempre los unos para con los otros, y para con todos.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Apartaos de toda especie de mal.

Er aber, der Gott des Friedens, heilige euch durch und durch, und euer Geist ganz samt der Seele und Leib müsse behalten werden unstraflich auf die Zukunft unsers Herrn Jesu Christi.
Y el Dios de paz os santifique en todo; para que vuestro espíritu y alma y cuerpo sea guardado entero sin reprensión para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
