Or touchant le temps et le moment, mes frères, vous n’avez pas besoin qu’on vous en écrive ;
EMPERO acerca de los tiempos y de los momentos, no tenéis, hermanos, necesidad de que yo os escriba:
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
Puisque vous savez vous-mêmes très-bien que le jour du Seigneur viendra comme le larron en la nuit.
Porque vosotros sabéis bien, que el día del Señor vendrá así como ladrón de noche,
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
Car quand ils diront : nous sommes en paix et en sûreté, alors il leur surviendra une subite destruction, comme le travail à celle qui est enceinte ; et ils n’échapperont point.
Que cuando dirán, Paz y seguridad, entonces vendrá sobre ellos destrucción de repente, como los dolores á la mujer preñada; y no escaparán.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
Mais quant à vous, mes frères, vous n’êtes point dans les ténèbres de sorte que ce jour-là vous surprenne comme le larron.
Mas vosotros, hermanos, no estáis en tinieblas, para que aquel día os sobrecoja como ladrón;
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
Vous êtes tous des enfants de la lumière, et du jour ; nous ne sommes point de la nuit, ni des ténèbres.
Porque todos vosotros sois hijos de luz, é hijos del día; no somos de la noche, ni de las tinieblas.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,
Ainsi donc ne dormons point comme les autres, mais veillons, et soyons sobres.
Por tanto, no durmamos como los demás; antes velemos y seamos sobrios.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
Car ceux qui dorment, dorment la nuit ; et ceux qui s’enivrent, s’enivrent la nuit.
Porque los que duermen, de noche duermen; y los que están borrachos, de noche están borrachos.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.
Mais nous qui sommes enfants du jour, soyons sobres, étant revêtus de la cuirasse de la foi et de la charité, et ayant pour casque l’espérance du salut.
Mas nosotros, que somos del día, estemos sobrios, vestidos de cota de fe y de caridad, y la esperanza de salud por yelmo.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
Car Dieu ne nous a point destinés à la colère, mais à l’acquisition du salut par notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
Porque no nos ha puesto Dios para ira, sino para alcanzar salud por nuestro Señor Jesucristo;
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
Qui est mort pour nous, afin que soit que nous veillons, soit que nous dormions, nous vivions avec lui.
El cual murió por nosotros, para que ó que velemos, ó que durmamos, vivamos juntamente con él.
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

C’est pourquoi exhortez-vous l’un l’autre, et édifiez-vous tous l’un l’autre, comme aussi vous le faites.
Por lo cual, consolaos los unos á los otros, y edificaos los unos á los otros, así como lo hacéis.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

Or, mes frères, nous vous prions de reconnaître ceux qui travaillent parmi vous, et qui président sur vous en notre Seigneur, et qui vous exhortent ;
Y os rogamos, hermanos, que reconozcáis á los que trabajan entre vosotros, y os presiden en el Señor, y os amonestan:
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
et d’avoir un amour singulier pour eux, à cause de l’oeuvre qu’ils font. Soyez en paix entre vous.
Y que los tengáis en mucha estima por amor de su obra. Tened paz los unos con los otros.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
Nous vous prions aussi, mes frères, de reprendre les déréglés ; de consoler ceux qui ont l’esprit abattu ; de soulager les faibles, et d’être d’un esprit patient envers tous.
También os rogamos, hermanos, que amonestéis á los que andan desordenadamente, que consoléis á los de poco ánimo, que soportéis á los flacos, que seáis sufridos para con todos.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.
Prenez garde que nul ne rende à personne le mal pour le mal ; mais cherchez toujours ce qui est bon, et entre vous et à l’égard de tous les hommes.
Mirad que ninguno dé á otro mal por mal; antes seguid lo bueno siempre los unos para con los otros, y para con todos.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
Soyez toujours joyeux.
Estad siempre gozosos.
Rejoice evermore.
Always rejoice.
Priez sans cesse.
Orad sin cesar.
Pray without ceasing.

Rendez grâces pour toutes choses, car c’est la volonté de Dieu par Jésus-Christ.
Dad gracias en todo; porque esta es la voluntad de Dios para con vosotros en Cristo Jesús.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

N’éteignez point l’Esprit.

Ne méprisez point les prophéties.
No menospreciéis las profecías.

Eprouvez toutes choses ; retenez ce qui est bon.
Examinadlo todo; retened lo bueno.
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.
Abstenez-vous de toute apparence de mal.
Apartaos de toda especie de mal.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Abstain from every form of evil.
Or le Dieu de paix vous veuille sanctifier entièrement ; et faire que votre esprit entier, et l’âme et le corps soient conservés sans reproche en la venue de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
Y el Dios de paz os santifique en todo; para que vuestro espíritu y alma y cuerpo sea guardado entero sin reprensión para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Celui qui vous appelle est fidèle, c’est pourquoi il fera ces choses en vous.
Fiel es el que os ha llamado; el cual también lo hará.
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.

Conjúroos por el Señor, que esta carta sea leída á todos los santos hermanos.
I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.
