A respeito do tempo e das estações, irmãos, não precisais que algo vos seja escrito.
EMPERO acerca de los tiempos y de los momentos, no tenéis, hermanos, necesidad de que yo os escriba:
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
Sabeis perfeitamente que o dia do Senhor virá como um ladrão de noite.
Porque vosotros sabéis bien, que el día del Señor vendrá así como ladrón de noche,
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
Quando disserem: "Paz e segurança", a destruição repentina lhes sobrevirá. Será como dores de parto à mulher grávida, e eles não terão como escapar.
Que cuando dirán, Paz y seguridad, entonces vendrá sobre ellos destrucción de repente, como los dolores á la mujer preñada; y no escaparán.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
Mas vós, irmãos, não estais na escuridão de modo que aquele dia vos alcance como um ladrão.
Mas vosotros, hermanos, no estáis en tinieblas, para que aquel día os sobrecoja como ladrón;
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
Vós sois todos filhos da luz e filhos do dia. Nós não somos filhos da noite ou da escuridão.
Porque todos vosotros sois hijos de luz, é hijos del día; no somos de la noche, ni de las tinieblas.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,
Logo, não durmamos como os outros fazem, mas continuemos a vigiar, e estejamos sóbrios.
Por tanto, no durmamos como los demás; antes velemos y seamos sobrios.
Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
Porque os que dormem, dormem de noite, e aqueles que se embriagam, embriagam-se de noite.
Porque los que duermen, de noche duermen; y los que están borrachos, de noche están borrachos.
For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.
Mas, como somos filhos do dia, fiquemos sóbrios. Coloquemos a couraça da fé e do amor, e a esperança da salvação futura como nosso capacete.
Mas nosotros, que somos del día, estemos sobrios, vestidos de cota de fe y de caridad, y la esperanza de salud por yelmo.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.
But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
Porque Deus não nos destinou para a ira, mas para obtermos a salvação, por meio de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Porque no nos ha puesto Dios para ira, sino para alcanzar salud por nuestro Señor Jesucristo;
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Ele que morreu por nós, para que, independentemente de estarmos acordados ou dormindo, possamos viver juntos com Ele.
El cual murió por nosotros, para que ó que velemos, ó que durmamos, vivamos juntamente con él.
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

Portanto, confortemos e edifiquemos uns aos outros como vós já fazeis.

Nós vos pedimos, irmãos, que reconheçais aqueles que trabalham entre vós, que cuidam de vós no Senhor, e que vos admoestam.
Y os rogamos, hermanos, que reconozcáis á los que trabajan entre vosotros, y os presiden en el Señor, y os amonestan:
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;
But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
Também pedimos que os considereis em alta estima, em amor, por causa do trabalho deles. Vivei em paz.
Y que los tengáis en mucha estima por amor de su obra. Tened paz los unos con los otros.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.
and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
Nós vos exortamos, irmãos, a advertir os indisciplinados, encorajar os desencorajados, auxiliar os fracos, e ser pacientes para com todos.
También os rogamos, hermanos, que amonestéis á los que andan desordenadamente, que consoléis á los de poco ánimo, que soportéis á los flacos, que seáis sufridos para con todos.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.
Cuidai para que ninguém retribua o mal com o mal, mas esforçai-vos pelo bem uns dos outros e de todos.
Mirad que ninguno dé á otro mal por mal; antes seguid lo bueno siempre los unos para con los otros, y para con todos.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
Alegrai-vos sempre.
Estad siempre gozosos.

Em tudo, dai graças. Pois essa é a vontade de Deus, em Cristo Jesus, para convosco.

Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.
Afastai-vos de toda forma de mal.
Apartaos de toda especie de mal.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.
Abstain from every form of evil.
Que o próprio Deus da paz vos santifique completamente. Que todo seu espírito, alma e corpo sejam preservados irrepreensíveis para a vinda do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
Y el Dios de paz os santifique en todo; para que vuestro espíritu y alma y cuerpo sea guardado entero sin reprensión para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
