Von den Zeiten und Stunden aber braucht man euch Brüdern nicht zu schreiben.
EMPERO acerca de los tiempos y de los momentos, no tenéis, hermanos, necesidad de que yo os escriba:
But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
Denn ihr wisset ja genau, daß der Tag des Herrn kommen wird wie ein Dieb in der Nacht.
Porque vosotros sabéis bien, que el día del Señor vendrá así como ladrón de noche,
For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
Wenn sie sagen werden: «Friede und Sicherheit», dann wird sie das Verderben plötzlich überfallen wie die Wehen eine schwangere Frau, und sie werden nicht entfliehen.
Que cuando dirán, Paz y seguridad, entonces vendrá sobre ellos destrucción de repente, como los dolores á la mujer preñada; y no escaparán.
For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
Ihr aber, Brüder, seid nicht in der Finsternis, daß euch der Tag wie ein Dieb überfallen könnte;
Mas vosotros, hermanos, no estáis en tinieblas, para que aquel día os sobrecoja como ladrón;
But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
ihr seid allzumal Kinder des Lichts und Kinder des Tages. Wir sind nicht von der Nacht, noch von der Finsternis.
Porque todos vosotros sois hijos de luz, é hijos del día; no somos de la noche, ni de las tinieblas.
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

So lasset uns auch nicht schlafen wie die andern, sondern lasset uns wachen und nüchtern sein!
Por tanto, no durmamos como los demás; antes velemos y seamos sobrios.

wir aber, die wir dem Tage angehören, wollen nüchtern sein, angetan mit dem Panzer des Glaubens und der Liebe und mit dem Helm der Hoffnung des Heils.
Mas nosotros, que somos del día, estemos sobrios, vestidos de cota de fe y de caridad, y la esperanza de salud por yelmo.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

Denn Gott hat uns nicht zum Zorn gericht bestimmt, sondern zum Besitze des Heils durch unsren Herrn Jesus Christus,

And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

haltet sie um ihres Werkes willen desto größerer Liebe wert; lebet im Frieden mit ihnen!
Y que los tengáis en mucha estima por amor de su obra. Tened paz los unos con los otros.
And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. And be at peace among yourselves.

Wir ermahnen euch aber, Brüder: Verwarnet die Unordentlichen, tröstet die Kleinmütigen, nehmet euch der Schwachen an, seid geduldig gegen jedermann!
También os rogamos, hermanos, que amonestéis á los que andan desordenadamente, que consoléis á los de poco ánimo, que soportéis á los flacos, que seáis sufridos para con todos.
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.
We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.
Sehet zu, daß niemand Böses mit Bösem vergelte, sondern trachtet allezeit darnach, Gutes zu tun, aneinander und an jedermann!
Mirad que ninguno dé á otro mal por mal; antes seguid lo bueno siempre los unos para con los otros, y para con todos.
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
Seid allezeit fröhlich!
Estad siempre gozosos.

enthaltet euch des Bösen in jeglicher Gestalt!
Apartaos de toda especie de mal.
Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Er selbst aber, der Gott des Friedens, heilige euch durch und durch, und euer ganzes Wesen, der Geist, die Seele und der Leib, werde unsträflich bewahrt bei der Wiederkunft unsres Herrn Jesus Christus!
Y el Dios de paz os santifique en todo; para que vuestro espíritu y alma y cuerpo sea guardado entero sin reprensión para la venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
