Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus de acordo com a ordem de Deus, nosso Salvador, e de Cristo Jesus, nossa esperança,

a Timóteo, um verdadeiro filho na fé: graça, misericórdia e paz de Deus Pai e de Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor.

Como eu te roguei, quando partia para Macedônia, permanece em Éfeso para que tu possas advertir certas pessoas de que não ensinem uma doutrina diferente,

Como te rogué que te quedases en Efeso, cuando partí para Macedonia, para que requirieses á algunos que no enseñen diversa doctrina,

As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,

As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus that you might command certain men not to teach a different doctrine,

nem prestem atenção a histórias e genealogias sem fim, que causam discussões em vez de ajudarem o plano de Deus, que é pela fé.

Ni presten atención á fábulas y genealogías sin término, que antes engendran cuestiones que la edificación de Dios que es por fe; así te encargo ahora.

Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.

and not to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes rather than God’s stewardship, which is in faith.

Mas o objetivo dessa advertência é o amor que procede de um coração puro, de uma boa consciência e de uma fé sincera.

Pues el fin del mandamiento es la caridad nacida de corazón limpio, y de buena conciencia, y de fe no fingida:

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

Algumas pessoas têm se enganado e se desviado disso com conversas tolas,

De lo cual distrayéndose algunos, se apartaron á vanas pláticas;

From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;

from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned away to vain talking,

querendo ser mestres da lei, mas sem entender o que dizem, nem o que insistentemente afirmam.

Queriendo ser doctores de la ley, sin entender ni lo que hablan, ni lo que afirman.

Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say nor about what they strongly affirm.

Mas nós sabemos que a lei é boa se usada de forma legítima.

Sabemos empero que la ley es buena, si alguno usa de ella legítimamente;

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;

E sabemos isto: a lei não é feita para o justo, mas para os rebeldes e sem lei, para os incrédulos e pecadores, para os que são ímpios e profanos, para os que matam os próprios pais e mães, para os assassinos,

Conociendo esto, que la ley no es puesta para el justo, sino para los injustos y para los desobedientes, para los impíos y pecadores, para los malos y profanos, para los parricidas y matricidas, para los homicidas,

Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

para as pessoas sexualmente imorais, para os homossexuais, para os traficantes de escravos, para os mentirosos, para as falsas testemunhas e para tudo o que é contra a sã doutrina.

Para los fornicarios, para los sodomitas, para los ladrones de hombres, para los mentirosos y perjuros, y si hay alguna otra cosa contraria á la sana doctrina;

For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine,

Essa doutrina está de acordo com o Evangelho glorioso do Deus bendito, que me foi confiado.

Según el evangelio de la gloria del Dios bendito, el cual á mí me ha sido encargado.

According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

Eu agradeço a Cristo Jesus, nosso Senhor, que me fortaleceu, pois me considerou fiel e me colocou nesta obra.

Eu era um homem blasfemo, perseguidor e violento, mas recebi misericórdia, porque agia ignorantemente na minha incredulidade.

Habiendo sido antes blasfemo y perseguidor é injuriador: mas fuí recibido á misericordia, porque lo hice con ignorancia en incredulidad.

Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

Mas a graça do nosso Senhor transbordou com a fé e o amor que há em Cristo Jesus.

And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Esta mensagem é confiável e digna de toda aceitação: Cristo Jesus veio ao mundo para salvar os pecadores, e eu sou o pior deles.

Palabra fiel y digna de ser recibida de todos: que Cristo Jesús vino al mundo para salvar á los pecadores, de los cuales yo soy el primero.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Mas, por essa razão, eu recebi misericórdia, de forma que em mim, o pior dos pecadores, Cristo Jesus pudesse demonstrar toda paciência. Ele fez isso como um exemplo para aqueles que haveriam de crer Nele para a vida eterna.

Mas por esto fuí recibido á misericordia, para que Jesucristo mostrase en mí el primero toda su clemencia, para ejemplo de los que habían de creer en él para vida eterna.

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

Assim, ao Rei eterno, imortal e invisível, o único Deus, sejam a honra e a glória para sempre e sempre. Amém.

Eu te entrego essa instrução, Timóteo, meu filho, em concordância com as profecias feitas a teu respeito, para que te empenhes no bom combate.

Este mandamiento, hijo Timoteo, te encargo, para que, conforme á las profecías pasadas de ti, milites por ellas buena milicia;

Faze isso para que tu tenhas fé e uma boa consciência. Algumas pessoas as têm rejeitado e naufragaram na fé,

Manteniendo la fe y buena conciencia, la cual echando de sí algunos, hicieron naufragio en la fe:

Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

entre elas estão Himeneu e Alexandre, os quais entreguei a Satanás para que eles aprendam a não blasfemar.

De los cuales son Himeneo y Alejandro, los cuales entregué á Satanás, para que aprendan á no blasfemar.

Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
