1 Timoteo 2

So ermahne ich nun, daß man vor alien Dingen zuerst tue Bitte, Gebet, Furbitte und Danksagung fur alle Menschen,

AMONESTO pues, ante todas cosas, que se hagan rogativas, oraciones, peticiones, hacimientos de gracias, por todos los hombres;

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

fur die Konige und fur alle Obrigkeit, auf daß wir ein ruhig und stilles Leben fuhren mogen in aller Gottseligkeit und Ehrbarkeit.

Por los reyes y por todos los que están en eminencia, para que vivamos quieta y reposadamente en toda piedad y honestidad.

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence.

Denn solches ist gut, dazu auch angenehm vor Gott, unserm Heilande,

Porque esto es bueno y agradable delante de Dios nuestro Salvador;

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

welcher will, daß alien Menschen geholfen werde, und zur Erkenntnis der Wahrheit kommen.

El cual quiere que todos los hombres sean salvos, y que vengan al conocimiento de la verdad.

Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth.

Denn es ist ein Gott und ein Mittler zwischen Gott und den Menschen, namlich der Mensch Christus Jesus,

Porque hay un Dios, asimismo un mediador entre Dios y los hombres, Jesucristo hombre;

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

der sich selbst gegeben hat fur alle zur Erlosung, daß solches zu seiner Zeit geprediget würde;

El cual se dió á sí mismo en precio del rescate por todos, para testimonio en sus tiempos:

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time,

dazu ich gesetzt bin ein Prediger und Apostel (ich sage die Wahrheit in Christo und luge nicht), ein Lehrer der Heiden im Glauben und in der Wahrheit.

De lo que yo soy puesto por predicador y apóstol, (digo verdad en Cristo, no miento) doctor de los Gentiles en fidelidad y verdad.

Where unto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

to which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am telling the truth in Christ, not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.

So will ich nun, daß die Manner beten an alien Orten und aufheben heilige Hande, ohne Zorn und Zweifel.

Quiero, pues, que los hombres oren en todo lugar, levantando manos limpias, sin ira ni contienda.

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

I desire therefore that the men in every place pray, lifting up holy hands without anger and doubting.

Desselbigengleichen die Weiber, daß sie in zierlichem Kleide mit Scham und Zucht sich schmucken, nicht mit Zopfen Oder Gold Oder Perlen Oder kostlichem Gewand,

Asimismo también las mujeres, ataviándose en hábito honesto, con vergüenza y modestia; no con cabellos encrespados, ú oro, ó perlas, ó vestidos costosos,

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety, not with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing,

sondern wie sich's ziemet den Weibern, die da Gottseligkeit beweisen durch gute Werke.

Sino de buenas obras, como conviene á mujeres que profesan piedad.

But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

but with good works, which is appropriate for women professing godliness.

Ein Weib lerne in der Stille mit aller Untertanigkeit.

La mujer aprenda en silencio, con toda sujeción.

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

Let a woman learn in quietness with full submission.

Einem Weibe aber gestatte ich nicht, daß sie lehre, auch nicht, daß sie des Mannes Herr sei, sondern stille sei.

Porque no permito á la mujer enseñar, ni tomar autoridad sobre el hombre, sino estar en silencio.

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.

Denn Adam ist am ersten gemacht, danach Eva.

Porque Adam fué formado el primero, después Eva;

For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

For Adam was formed first, then Eve.

Und Adam ward nicht verfuhret; das Weib aber ward verfuhret und hat die Ubertretung eingefuhret.

Y Adam no fué engañado, sino la mujer, siendo seducida, vino á ser envuelta en transgresión:

And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;

Sie wird aber selig werden durch Kinderzeugen, so sie bleiben im Glauben und in der Liebe und in der Heiligung samt der Zucht.

Empero se salvará engendrando hijos, si permaneciere en la fe y caridad y santidad, con modestia.

Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with sobriety.
