Porque ésta es una cosa buena, y agradable a los ojos de Dios, salvador nuestro.

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

El cual quiere que todos los hombres se salven y vengan en conocimiento de la verdad.
Porque esto es bueno y agradable delante de Dios nuestro Salvador;

que se dio a sí mismo en rescate por todos y para testimonio dado a su tiempo,
Porque hay un Dios, asimismo un mediador entre Dios y los hombres, Jesucristo hombre;

del cual yo estoy constituido predicador y apóstol (digo la pura verdad, no miento) doctor de las gentes en la fe y verdad, o fiel y veraz.
El cual se dió á sí mismo en precio del rescate por todos, para testimonio en sus tiempos:

Quiero, pues, que los hombres oren en todo lugar, alzando las manos limpias, o puras de toda maldad, exentos de todo encono y disensión.
De lo que yo soy puesto por predicador y apóstol, (digo verdad en Cristo, no miento) doctor de los Gentiles en fidelidad y verdad.
Where unto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

Así mismo oren también las mujeres en traje decente, ataviándose con recato y modestia, o sin superfluidad, y no con los cabellos rizados o ensortijados, ni con oro, o con perlas, o costosos adornos;
Quiero, pues, que los hombres oren en todo lugar, levantando manos limpias, sin ira ni contienda.

Las mujeres escuchen en silencio las instrucciones y óiganlas con entera sumisión;
Sino de buenas obras, como conviene á mujeres que profesan piedad.

pues no permito a la mujer hacer de doctora en la iglesia, ni tomar autoridad sobre el marido; mas quédese callada en su presencia,
La mujer aprenda en silencio, con toda sujeción.
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
Let a woman learn in quietness with full submission.
ya que Adán fue formado el primero, y después Eva , como inferior;
Porque no permito á la mujer enseñar, ni tomar autoridad sobre el hombre, sino estar en silencio.
But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
But I don’t permit a woman to teach, nor to exercise authority over a man, but to be in quietness.
y además Adán no fue engañado, mas la mujer, engañada por la serpiente, fue causa de la prevaricación del hombre.

Verdad es que se salvará por medio de la buena crianza de los hijos, si persevera en la fe y en la caridad, en santa y arreglada vida.
Y Adam no fué engañado, sino la mujer, siendo seducida, vino á ser envuelta en transgresión:
And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
Adam wasn’t deceived, but the woman, being deceived, has fallen into disobedience;
Es una verdad muy cierta, que quien desea obispado desea un buen trabajo, o un ministerio santo.
Empero se salvará engendrando hijos, si permaneciere en la fe y caridad y santidad, con modestia.
Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.
but she will be saved through her childbearing, if they continue in faith, love, and holiness with sobriety.
