Ne reprends pas rudement un vieillard ; mais exhorte-le comme un père ; les jeunes gens comme des frères ;

NO reprendas al anciano, sino exhórtale como á padre: á los más jóvenes, como á hermanos;

Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;

Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

les femmes âgées comme des mères ; les jeunes comme des sœurs, en toute pureté.

A las ancianas, como á madres; á las jovencitas, como á hermanas, con toda pureza.

The elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.

Honore les veuves qui sont véritablement veuves.

Honra á las viudas que en verdad son viudas.

Mais si quelque veuve a des enfants, ou des petits-enfants, qu'ils apprennent avant toutes choses à exercer leur piété envers leur propre maison, et à rendre à leurs parents ce qu'ils ont reçu d'eux ; car cela est agréable à Dieu.

Pero si alguna viuda tuviere hijos, ó nietos, aprendan primero á gobernar su casa piadosamente, y á recompensar á sus padres: porque esto es lo honesto y agradable delante de Dios.

But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.

But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

Or celle qui est véritablement veuve, et qui est demeurée seule, a mis son espérance en Dieu, et persévère nuit et jour dans les supplications et les prières ;

Ahora, la que en verdad es viuda y solitaria, espera en Dios, y es diligente en suplicaciones y oraciones noche y día.

Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

Now she who is a widow indeed and desolate, has her hope set on God and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

mais celle qui vit dans les plaisirs, est morte en vivant.

Pero la que vive en delicias, viviendo está muerta.

But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.

Déclare-leur aussi ces choses, afin qu'elles soient sans reproche.

Denuncia pues estas cosas, para que sean sin reprensión.

And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.

Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

Que si quelqu'un n'a pas soin des siens, et principalement de ceux de sa maison, il a renié la foi, et il est pire qu'un infidèle.

Y si alguno no tiene cuidado de los suyos, y mayormente de los de su casa, la fe negó, y es peor que un infiel.

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Qu'une veuve, pour être enregistrée, n'ait pas moins de soixante ans ; qu'elle ait été femme d'un seul mari ;

La viuda sea puesta en clase especial, no menos que de sesenta años, que haya sido esposa de un solo marido.

Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,

Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,

qu'elle ait le témoignage d'avoir fait de bonnes œuvres, d'avoir bien élevé ses enfants, exercé l'hospitalité, lavé les pieds des Saints, secouru les affligés, et de s'être appliquée à toute bonne œuvre.

Que tenga testimonio en buenas obras; si crió hijos; si ha ejercitado la hospitalidad; si ha lavado los pies de los santos; si ha socorrido á los afligidos; si ha seguido toda buena obra.

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

Mais refuse les veuves plus jeunes ; car quand la volupté les détache de Christ, elles veulent se remarier ;

Pero viudas más jóvenes no admitas: porque después de hacerse licenciosas contra Cristo, quieren casarse.

But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;

But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,

elles encourent un jugement, parce qu'elles ont violé leur première foi.

Condenadas ya, por haber falseado la primera fe.

Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.

Et avec cela étant oisives, elles apprennent à aller de maison en maison ; et non seulement oisives, mais aussi causeuses et curieuses, parlant de choses qui ne sont pas bienséantes.

Y aun también se acostumbran á ser ociosas, á andar de casa en casa; y no solamente ociosas, sino también parleras y curiosas, hablando lo que no conviene.

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

Je veux donc que les jeunes se marient, qu'elles aient des enfants, qu'elles gouvernent leur maison, qu'elles ne donnent aucune occasion à l'adversaire de médire.

Quiero pues, que las que son jóvenes se casen, críen hijos, gobiernen la casa; que ninguna ocasión den al adversario para maldecir.

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.

Car déjà quelques-unes se sont détournées pour suivre Satan.

Porque ya algunas han vuelto atrás en pos de Satanás.

For some are already turned aside after Satan.

For already some have turned away after Satan.

Que si quelque fidèle, homme ou femme, a des veuves, qu'il les assiste, et que l'Eglise n'en soit point chargée, afin qu'elle assiste celles qui sont véritablement veuves.

Si algún fiel ó alguna fiel tiene viudas, manténgalas, y no sea gravada la iglesia; á fin de que haya lo suficiente para las que de verdad son viudas.

If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.

Que les anciens qui président bien, soient jugés dignes d'un double honneur, surtout ceux qui prennent de la peine dans la parole et dans l'enseignement ;

Los ancianos que gobiernan bien, sean tenidos por dignos de doblada honra; mayormente los que trabajan en predicar y enseñar.

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

car l'Ecriture dit : Tu n'emmuselleras point le bœuf qui foule le grain. Et : l'ouvrier est digne de son salaire.

Porque la Escritura dice: No embozarás al buey que trilla; y: Digno es el obrero de su jornal.

For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”

Ne reçois point d'accusation contre un ancien, si ce n'est sur la déposition de deux ou trois témoins ;

Contra el anciano no recibas acusación sino con dos ó tres testigos.

Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

Don’t receive an accusation against an elder except at the word of two or three witnesses.

ceux qui pèchent, reprends-les devant tous, afin que les autres aussi aient de la crainte.

A los que pecaren, repréndelos delante de todos, para que los otros también teman.

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

Je te conjure devant Dieu et devant Jésus-Christ, et devant les anges élus, d'observer ces choses sans prévention, sans rien faire avec partialité.

Te requiero delante de Dios y del Señor Jesucristo, y de sus ángeles escogidos, que guardes estas cosas sin perjuicio de nadie, que nada hagas inclinándote á la una parte.

I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

N'impose les mains à personne avec précipitation, et ne participe point aux péchés d'autrui ; conserve-toi pur toi-même.

No impongas de ligero las manos á ninguno, ni comuniques en pecados ajenos: consérvate en limpieza.

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.

Lay hands hastily on no one. Don’t be a participant in other people’s sins. Keep yourself pure.

Ne continue pas à ne boire que de l'eau ; mais use d'un peu de vin, à cause de ton estomac et de tes fréquentes maladies.

No bebas de aquí adelante agua, sino usa de un poco de vino por causa del estómago, y de tus continuas enfermedades.

Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

Il y a des personnes dont les péchés sont manifestes, et précèdent le jugement ; mais chez d'autres ils ne se découvrent qu'après.

Los pecados de algunos hombres, antes que vengan ellos á juicio, son manifiestos; mas á otros les vienen después.

Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

De même aussi les bonnes œuvres sont manifestes ; et celles qui ne le sont pas, ne sauraient demeurer cachées.

Asimismo las buenas obras antes son manifiestas; y las que son de otra manera, no pueden esconderse.

Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise can not be hid.

In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
