Über einen älteren ziehe nicht los, sondern ermahne ihn wie einen Vater, jüngere wie Brüder,

NO reprendas al anciano, sino exhórtale como á padre: á los más jóvenes, como á hermanos;

Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;

Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;

ältere Frauen wie Mütter, jüngere wie Schwestern, in aller Keuschheit.

A las ancianas, como á madres; á las jovencitas, como á hermanas, con toda pureza.

Ehre die Witwen, welche wirklich Witwen sind.

Hat aber eine Witwe Kinder oder Enkel, so sollen diese zuerst lernen, am eigenen Haus ihre Pflicht zu erfüllen und den Eltern Empfangenes zu vergelten; denn das ist angenehm vor Gott.

Pero si alguna viuda tuviere hijos, ó nietos, aprendan primero á gobernar su casa piadosamente, y á recompensar á sus padres: porque esto es lo honesto y agradable delante de Dios.

But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.

But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

Eine wirkliche und vereinsamte Witwe aber hat ihre Hoffnung auf Gott gesetzt und verharrt im Flehen und Gebet Tag und Nacht;

Ahora, la que en verdad es viuda y solitaria, espera en Dios, y es diligente en suplicaciones y oraciones noche y día.

Now she that is a widow indeed, and desolate, trusteth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

eine genußsüchtige aber ist lebendig tot.

Pero la que vive en delicias, viviendo está muerta.

But she that liveth in pleasure is dead while she liveth.

But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.

Sprich das offen aus, damit sie untadelig seien!

Denuncia pues estas cosas, para que sean sin reprensión.

And these things give in charge, that they may be blameless.

Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

Wenn aber jemand die Seinen, allermeist seine Hausgenossen, nicht versorgt, der hat den Glauben verleugnet und ist ärger als ein Ungläubiger.

Y si alguno no tiene cuidado de los suyos, y mayormente de los de su casa, la fe negó, y es peor que un infiel.

But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Als Witwe werde nur eine solche in die Liste eingetragen, welche nicht weniger als sechzig Jahre alt ist, eines Mannes Frau war

La viuda sea puesta en clase especial, no menos que de sesenta años, que haya sido esposa de un solo marido.

Let not a widow be taken into the number under threescore years old, having been the wife of one man,

Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,

und ein Zeugnis guter Werke hat; wenn sie Kinder auferzogen, Gastfreundschaft geübt, der Heiligen Füße gewaschen, Bedrängten ausgeholfen hat, jedem guten Werk nachgekommen ist.

Que tenga testimonio en buenas obras; si crió hijos; si ha ejercitado la hospitalidad; si ha lavado los pies de los santos; si ha socorrido á los afligidos; si ha seguido toda buena obra.

Well reported of for good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints’ feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work.

being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

Jüngere Witwen aber weise ab; denn wenn sie gegen Christi †Willen begehrlich geworden sind, wollen sie heiraten.

Pero viudas más jóvenes no admitas: porque después de hacerse licenciosas contra Cristo, quieren casarse.

But the younger widows refuse: for when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry;

But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,

Sie verdienen das Urteil, daß sie die erste Treue gebrochen haben.

Condenadas ya, por haber falseado la primera fe.

Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.

Zugleich sind sie auch müßig und lernen in den Häusern herumlaufen; und nicht nur müßig, sondern auch geschwätzig und vorwitzig und reden, was sich nicht gehört.

Y aun también se acostumbran á ser ociosas, á andar de casa en casa; y no solamente ociosas, sino también parleras y curiosas, hablando lo que no conviene.

And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

So will ich nun, daß jüngere Witwen heiraten, Kinder gebären, dem Haushalt vorstehen, dem Widersacher keinen Anlaß zur Lästerung geben;

Quiero pues, que las que son jóvenes se casen, críen hijos, gobiernen la casa; que ninguna ocasión den al adversario para maldecir.

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.

denn schon sind etliche abgewichen, dem Satan nach.

Porque ya algunas han vuelto atrás en pos de Satanás.

For some are already turned aside after Satan.

Hat ein Gläubiger oder eine Gläubige Witwen, so versorge er sie und lasse sie nicht der Gemeinde zur Last fallen, damit diese für die wirklichen Witwen sorgen kann.

Si algún fiel ó alguna fiel tiene viudas, manténgalas, y no sea gravada la iglesia; á fin de que haya lo suficiente para las que de verdad son viudas.

If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed.

If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.

Die Ältesten, welche wohl vorstehen, halte man doppelter Ehre wert, allermeist die, welche sich in Predigt und Unterricht abmühen.

Los ancianos que gobiernan bien, sean tenidos por dignos de doblada honra; mayormente los que trabajan en predicar y enseñar.

Denn die Schrift sagt: «Einem dreschenden Ochsen sollst du das Maul nicht verbinden!» und «der Arbeiter ist seines Lohnes wert».

For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

Gegen einen Ältesten nimm keine Klage an, außer auf Aussage von zwei oder drei Zeugen.

Contra el anciano no recibas acusación sino con dos ó tres testigos.

Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

Don’t receive an accusation against an elder except at the word of two or three witnesses.

Die, welche sündigen, weise vor allen zurecht, damit sich auch die andern fürchten.

A los que pecaren, repréndelos delante de todos, para que los otros también teman.

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

Ich beschwöre dich vor Gott und Christus Jesus und den auserwählten Engeln, daß du dies ohne Vorurteil beobachtest und nichts tuest aus Zuneigung!

Te requiero delante de Dios y del Señor Jesucristo, y de sus ángeles escogidos, que guardes estas cosas sin perjuicio de nadie, que nada hagas inclinándote á la una parte.

I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

Die Hände lege niemandem schnell auf, mache dich auch nicht fremder Sünden teilhaftig; bewahre dich selbst rein!

No impongas de ligero las manos á ninguno, ni comuniques en pecados ajenos: consérvate en limpieza.

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men’s sins: keep thyself pure.

Trinke nicht mehr bloß Wasser, sondern gebrauche ein wenig Wein um deines Magens willen und wegen deiner häufigen Krankheiten.

No bebas de aquí adelante agua, sino usa de un poco de vino por causa del estómago, y de tus continuas enfermedades.

Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach’s sake and thine often infirmities.

Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.

Etlicher Menschen Sünden sind zuvor offenbar und kommen vorher ins Gericht; etlichen aber werden sie auch nachfolgen.

Los pecados de algunos hombres, antes que vengan ellos á juicio, son manifiestos; mas á otros les vienen después.

Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

Gleicherweise sind auch die guten Werke zuvor offenbar, und die, mit welchen es sich anders verhält, können auch nicht verborgen bleiben.

Asimismo las buenas obras antes son manifiestas; y las que son de otra manera, no pueden esconderse.

Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise can not be hid.

In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
