O Timothée ! garde le dépôt, fuyant les discours vains et profanes, et les objections d'une science faussement ainsi nommée,

Oh Timoteo, guarda lo que se te ha encomendado, evitando las profanas pláticas de vanas cosas, y los argumentos de la falsamente llamada ciencia:

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge,
