O Timothée, garde le dépôt, en évitant les discours vains et profanes, et tout ce qu'oppose une science qui n'en mérite pas le nom ;

Oh Timoteo, guarda lo que se te ha encomendado, evitando las profanas pláticas de vanas cosas, y los argumentos de la falsamente llamada ciencia:

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Timothy, guard that which is committed to you, turning away from the empty chatter and oppositions of what is falsely called knowledge,
