Sie redeten mit ihm und sprachen: Wirst du diesem Volk freundlich sein und wirst sie handeln gütiglich und ihnen gute Worte geben, so werden sie dir untertanig sein allewege.

Y ellos le hablaron, diciendo: Si te condujeres humanamente con este pueblo, y los agradares, y les hablares buenas palabras, ellos te servirán perpetuamente.

And they spake unto him, saying, If thou be kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be thy servants for ever.

They spoke to him, saying, “If you are kind to these people, please them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.”
