Und sie sandten hin und ließen ihn rufen. Und Jerobeam kam mit dem ganzen Israel und redete mit Rehabeam und sprachen:

Y ROBOAM fué á Sichêm porque en Sichêm se había juntado todo Israel para hacerlo rey.

And Rehoboam went to Shechem: for to Shechem were all Israel come to make him king.

Rehoboam went to Shechem, for all Israel had come to Shechem to make him king.

Dein Vater hat unser Joch zu hart gemacht. So leichtere nun du den harten Dienst deines Vaters und das schwere Joch, das er auf uns gelegt hat, so wollen wir dir untertänig sein.

Y como lo oyó Jeroboam hijo de Nabat, el cual estaba en Egipto, donde había huído á causa del rey Salomón, volvió de Egipto.

And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who was in Egypt, whither he had fled from the presence of Solomon the king, heard it, that Jeroboam returned out of Egypt.

When Jeroboam the son of Nebat heard of it (for he was in Egypt, where he had fled from the presence of King Solomon), Jeroboam returned out of Egypt.

Er sprach zu ihnen: Über drei Tage kommt wieder zu mir. Und das Volk ging hin.

Y enviaron y llamáronle. Vino pues Jeroboam, y todo Israel, y hablaron á Roboam, diciendo:

And they sent and called him. So Jeroboam and all Israel came and spake to Rehoboam, saying,

Und der König Rehabeam ratfragte die Ältesten, die vor seinem Vater Salomo gestanden waren, da er beim Leben war, und sprach: Wie ratet ihr, daß ich diesem Volk Antwort gebe?

Tu padre agravó nuestro yugo: afloja tú, pues, ahora algo de la dura servidumbre, y del grave yugo con que tu padre nos apremió, y te serviremos.

Thy father made our yoke grievous: now therefore ease thou somewhat the grievous servitude of thy father, and his heavy yoke that he put upon us, and we will serve thee.

“Your father made our yoke grievous. Now therefore make the grievous service of your father and his heavy yoke which he put on us, lighter, and we will serve you.”

Sie redeten mit ihm und sprachen: Wirst du diesem Volk freundlich sein und wirst sie handeln gütiglich und ihnen gute Worte geben, so werden sie dir untertänig sein allewege.

Y él les dijo: Volved á mí de aquí á tres días. Y el pueblo se fué.

And he said unto them, Come again unto me after three days. And the people departed.

He said to them, “Come again to me after three days.” So the people departed.

Er aber verließ den Rat der Ältesten, den sie ihm gegeben hatten, und ratschlagte mit den Jungen, die mit ihm aufgewachsen waren und vor ihm stunden,

Entonces el rey Roboam tomó consejo con los viejos, que habían estado delante de Salomón su padre cuando vivía, y díjoles: ¿Cómo aconsejáis vosotros que responda á este pueblo?

And king Rehoboam took counsel with the old men that had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give ye me to return answer to this people?

King Rehoboam took counsel with the old men, who had stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, saying, “What counsel do you give me about how to answer these people?”

und sprach zu ihnen: Was ratet ihr, daß wir diesem Volk antworten, die mit mir geredet haben und sagen: Leichtere das Joch, das dein Vater auf uns gelegt hat?

Y ellos le hablaron, diciendo: Si te condujeres humanamente con este pueblo, y los agradares, y les hablares buenas palabras, ellos te servirán perpetuamente.

And they spake unto him, saying, If thou be kind to this people, and please them, and speak good words to them, they will be thy servants for ever.

They spoke to him, saying, “If you are kind to these people, please them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.”

Die Jungen aber, die mit ihm aufgewachsen waren, redeten mit ihm und sprachen: So sollst du sagen zu dem Volk, das mit dir geredet hat und spricht: Dein Vater hat unser Joch zu schwer gemacht, mache du unser Joch leichter; und sprich zu ihnen: Mein kleinster Finger soll dicker sein denn meines Vaters Lenden.

Mas él, dejando el consejo que le dieron los viejos, tomó consejo con los mancebos que se habían criado con él, y que delante de él asistían;

But he forsook the counsel which the old men gave him, and took counsel with the young men that were brought up with him, that stood before him.

But he abandoned the counsel of the old men which they had given him, and took counsel with the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him.

Hat nun mein Vater auf euch zu schweres Joch geladen, so will ich eures Jochs mehr machen. Mein Vater hat euch mit Peitschen gezüchtiget, ich aber mit Skorpionen.

Y díjoles: ¿Qué aconsejáis vosotros que respondamos á este pueblo, que me ha hablado, diciendo: Alivia algo del yugo que tu padre puso sobre nosotros?

And he said unto them, What advice give ye that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us?

He said to them, “What counsel do you give, that we may give an answer to these people, who have spoken to me, saying, ‘Make the yoke that your father put on us lighter’?”

Als nun Jerobeam und alles Volk zu Rehabeam kam am dritten Tage, wie denn der König gesagt hatte: Kommt wieder zu mir am dritten Tage,

Entonces los mancebos que se habían criado con él, le hablaron, diciendo: Así dirás al pueblo que te ha hablado diciendo, Tu padre agravó nuestro yugo, mas tú descárganos: así les dirás: Lo más menudo mío es más grueso que los lomos de mi padre.

And the young men that were brought up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou answer the people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it somewhat lighter for us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s loins.

The young men who had grown up with him spoke to him, saying, “Thus you shall tell the people who spoke to you, saying, ‘Your father made our yoke heavy, but make it lighter on us;’ thus you shall say to them, ‘My little finger is thicker than my father’s waist.

antwortete ihnen der König hart. Und der König Rehabeam verließ den Rat der Ältesten

Así que, mi padre os cargó de grave yugo, y yo añadiré á vuestro yugo: mi padre os castigó con azotes, y yo con escorpiones.

For whereas my father put a heavy yoke upon you, I will put more to your yoke: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

Now whereas my father burdened you with a heavy yoke, I will add to your yoke. My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.’”

und redete mit ihnen nach dem Rat der Jungen und sprach: Hat mein Vater euer Joch zu schwer gemacht, so will ich's mehr dazu machen. Mein Vater hat euch mit Peitschen gezüchtiget, ich aber mit Skorpionen.

Vino pues Jeroboam con todo el pueblo á Roboam al tercer día: según el rey les había mandado diciendo: Volved á mí de aquí á tres días.

So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king bade, saying, Come again to me on the third day.

So Jeroboam and all the people came to Rehoboam the third day, as the king asked, saying, “Come to me again the third day.”

Also gehorchte der König dem Volk nicht. Denn es war also von Gott gewandt, auf daß der HERR sein Wort bestätigte, daß er geredet hatte durch Ahia von Silo zu Jerobeam, dem Sohn Nebats.

Y respondióles el rey ásperamente; pues dejó el rey Roboam el consejo de los viejos,

And the king answered them roughly; and king Rehoboam forsook the counsel of the old men,

The king answered them roughly; and King Rehoboam abandoned the counsel of the old men,

Da aber das ganze Israel sah, daß ihnen der König nicht gehorchte, antwortete das Volk dem Könige und sprach: Was haben wir Teils an David oder Erbe am Sohn Isais? Jedermann von Israel zu seiner Hütte! So siehe nun du zu deinem Hause, David! Und das ganze Israel ging in seine Hütten,

Y hablóles conforme al consejo de los mancebos, diciendo: Mi padre agravó vuestro yugo, y yo añadiré á vuestro yugo: mi padre os castigó con azotes, y yo con escorpiones.

And answered them after the advice of the young men, saying, My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add thereto: my father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.

and spoke to them after the counsel of the young men, saying, “My father made your yoke heavy, but I will add to it. My father chastised you with whips, but I will chastise you with scorpions.”

daß Rehabeam nur über die Kinder Israel regierete, die in den Städten Judas wohneten.

Y no escuchó el rey al pueblo; porque la causa era de Dios, para cumplir Jehová su palabra que había hablado, por Ahías Silonita, á Jeroboam hijo de Nabat.

So the king hearkened not unto the people: for the cause was of God, that the LORD might perform his word, which he spake by the hand of Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

So the king didn’t listen to the people; for it was brought about by God, that the LORD might establish his word, which he spoke by Ahijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam the son of Nebat.

Aber der König Rehabeam sandte Hadoram, den Rentmeister; aber die Kinder Israel steinigten ihn zu Tode. Und der König Rehabeam stieg frisch auf seinen Wagen, daß er flöhe gen Jerusalem.

Y viendo todo Israel que el rey no les había oído, respondió el pueblo al rey, diciendo: ¿Qué parte tenemos nosotros con David, ni herencia en el hijo de Isaí? ¡Israel, cada uno á sus estancias! ¡David, mira ahora por tu casa! Así se fué todo Israel á sus estancias.

And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents.

When all Israel saw that the king didn’t listen to them, the people answered the king, saying, “What portion do we have in David? We don’t have an inheritance in the son of Jesse! Every man to your tents, Israel! Now see to your own house, David.” So all Israel departed to their tents.

Also fiel Israel ab vom Hause Davids bis auf diesen Tag.

Mas reinó Roboam sobre los hijos de Israel que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá.

But as for the children of Israel that dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

But as for the children of Israel who lived in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.

Und da Rehabeam gen Jerusalem kam, versammelte er das Haus Juda und Benjamin, hundertundachtzigtausend junger Mannschaft, die streitbar waren, wider Israel zu streiten, daß sie das Königreich wieder an Rehabeam brächten.

Envió luego el rey Roboam á Adoram, que tenía cargo de los tributos; pero le apedrearon los hijos de Israel, y murió. Entonces se esforzó el rey Roboam, y subiendo en un carro huyó á Jerusalem.

Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

Then King Rehoboam sent Hadoram, who was over the men subject to forced labor; and the children of Israel stoned him to death with stones. King Rehoboam hurried to get himself up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

Aber des HERRN Wort kam zu Semaja, dem Mann Gottes, und sprach:

Así se apartó Israel de la casa de David hasta hoy.

And Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.

So Israel rebelled against David’s house to this day.
