And Rehobo’am appointed Abiyah the son of Ma’achah to be the chief, to be ruler among his brethren; because he desired to make him king.

Y puso Roboam á Abías hijo de Maachâ por cabeza y príncipe de sus hermanos, porque quería hacerle rey.

And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him king.
