2 Crónicas 11

Roboam se rendit à Jérusalem et convoqua la maison de Juda et de Benjamin, cent quatre-vingt mille guerriers d’élite, pour faire la guerre à Israël afin de restituer la royauté à Roboam.

Y COMO vino Roboam á Jerusalem, juntó la casa de Judá y de Benjamín, ciento y ochenta mil hombres escogidos de guerra, para pelear contra Israel y volver el reino á Roboam.

And when Rehoboam was come to Jerusalem, he gathered of the house of Judah and Benjamin an hundred and fourscore thousand chosen men, which were warriors, to fight against Israel, that he might bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.

When Rehoboam had come to Jerusalem, he assembled the house of Judah and Benjamin, one hundred eighty thousand chosen men who were warriors, to fight against Israel, to bring the kingdom again to Rehoboam.

Alors la parole du Seigneur s’adressa à Chemaya, homme de Dieu, en ces termes:

Mas fué palabra de Jehová á Semeías varón de Dios, diciendo:

But the word of the LORD came to Shemaiah the man of God, saying,

"Parle ainsi à Roboam, fils de Salomon, roi de Juda, et à tous les Israélites dans Juda et dans Benjamin:

Habla á Roboam hijo de Salomón, rey de Judá, y á todos los Israelitas en Judá y Benjamín, diciéndoles:

Speak unto Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,

“Speak to Rehoboam the son of Solomon, king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,

Ainsi parle le Seigneur: N’allez point faire la guerre à vos frères, rentrez chacun dans vos demeures, car c’est par moi que cet événement s’est produit." Ils obéirent à la parole du Seigneur et renoncèrent à marcher contre Jéroboam.

Así ha dicho Jehová: No subáis ni peleéis contra vuestros hermanos; vuélvase cada uno á su casa, porque yo he hecho este negocio. Y ellos oyeron la palabra de Jehová, y tornáronse, y no fueron contra Jeroboam.

Thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the LORD, and returned from going against Jeroboam.

‘The LORD says, “You shall not go up, nor fight against your brothers! Every man return to his house; for this thing is of me.”’” So they listened to the LORD’s words, and returned from going against Jeroboam.

Roboam, s’étant établi à Jérusalem, érigea en forteresses des villes de Juda.

Y habitó Roboam en Jerusalem, y edificó ciudades para fortificar á Judá.

And Rehoboam dwelt in Jerusalem, and built cities for defence in Judah.

And Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,

Adoraïm, Lakhich, Azêka,

Y á Adoraim, y á Lachîs, y á Acechâ,

And Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,

Adoraim, Lachish, Azekah,

Çorea, Ayyalôn et Hébron, toutes villes situées dans Juda et Benjamin †et dont il fit des villes fortes:

Y á Sora, y á Ajalón, y á Hebrón, que eran en Judá y en Benjamín, ciudades fuertes.

And Zorah, and Aijalon, and Hebron, which are in Judah and in Benjamin fenced cities.

Pour augmenter la puissance de ces forteresses, il y établit des commandants, des réserves de vivres, d’huile et de vin;

Fortificó también las fortalezas, y puso en ellas capitanes, y vituallas, y vino, y aceite;

And he fortified the strong holds, and put captains in them, and store of victual, and of oil and wine.

Il amassa également dans chacune de ces villes des boucliers et des lances, et les rendit ainsi très fortes. Juda et Benjamin lui restèrent dévoués.

Y en todas las ciudades, escudos y lanzas. Fortificólas pues en gran manera, y Judá y Benjamín le estaban sujetos.

And in every several city he put shields and spears, and made them exceeding strong, having Judah and Benjamin on his side.

Les prêtres et les Lévites, répandus dans tout Israël, vinrent de tout le territoire se présenter à lui.

Y los sacerdotes y Levitas que estaban en todo Israel, se juntaron á él de todos sus términos.

And the priests and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their coasts.

Les Lévites abandonnaient, en effet, leurs lieux d’habitation et leurs possessions pour se rendre en Juda et à Jérusalem, parce que Jéroboam, avec ses fils, les avaient empêchés d’exercer leurs fonctions de prêtres,

Porque los Levitas dejaban sus ejidos y sus posesiones, y se venían á Judá y á Jerusalem: pues Jeroboam y sus hijos los echaban del ministerio de Jehová.

For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest’s office unto the LORD:

et qu’il avait institué des prêtres à lui pour les hauts lieux, pour les démons et pour les veaux †d’or fabriqués par lui.

Y él se hizo sacerdotes para los altos, y para los demonios, y para los becerros que él había hecho.

And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.

A la suite des Lévites, ceux d’entre toutes les tribus d’Israël qui avaient à cœur de rendre hommage à l’Eternel, Dieu d’Israël, vinrent à Jérusalem pour sacrifier à l’Eternel, Dieu de leurs pères.

Tras aquéllos acudieron también de todas las tribus de Israel los que habían puesto su corazón en buscar á Jehová Dios de Israel; y viniéronse á Jerusalem para sacrificar á Jehová, el Dios de sus padres.

And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers.

Ils contribuèrent à fortifier le royaume de Juda et à affermir le pouvoir de Roboam, fils de Salomon, pendant trois années; car pendant trois années, on marcha dans la voie de David et de Salomon.

Así fortificaron el reino de Judá, y confirmaron á Roboam hijo de Salomón, por tres años; porque tres años anduvieron en el camino de David y de Salomón.

Roboam prit pour femme Mahalat, fille de Yerimot, fils de David, †et d’Abihaïl, fille d’Elïab, fils de Jessé.

Y tomóse Roboam por mujer á Mahalath, hija de Jerimoth hijo de David, y á Abihail, hija de Eliab hijo de Esaí.

And Rehoboam took him Mahalath the daughter of Jerimoth the son of David to wife, and Abihail the daughter of Eliab the son of Jesse;

Elle lui donna des fils: Yeouch, Chemaria et Zaham.

La cual le parió hijos: á Jeus, y á Samaria, y á Zaham.

Which bare him children; Jeush, and Shamariah, and Zaham.

Après elle, il épousa Maakha, fille d’Absalon, qui lui enfanta Abiyya, Attaï, Ziza et Chelomit.

And after her he took Maachah the daughter of Absalom; which bare him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.

Roboam préférait Maakha, fille d’Absalon, à toutes ses femmes et concubines: car il eut dix-huit femmes et soixante concubines, et il engendra vingt-huit fils et soixante filles.

Mas Roboam amó á Maachâ hija de Absalom sobre todas sus mujeres y concubinas; porque tomó diez y ocho mujeres y sesenta concubinas, y engendró veintiocho hijos y sesenta hijas.

And Rehoboam loved Maachah the daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines: (for he took eighteen wives, and threescore concubines; and begat twenty and eight sons, and threescore daughters.)

Aussi Roboam établit-il Abiyya, fils de Maakha, comme chef et prince parmi ses frères, en vue de lui assurer la royauté.

Y puso Roboam á Abías hijo de Maachâ por cabeza y príncipe de sus hermanos, porque quería hacerle rey.

And Rehoboam made Abijah the son of Maachah the chief, to be ruler among his brethren: for he thought to make him king.

En homme avisé, il dispersa l’ensemble de ses fils dans toutes les terres de Juda et de Benjamin, en les établissant dans toutes les villes fortes. Il leur donna d’abondantes subsistances et demanda †pour eux une multitude de femmes.

E hízole instruir, y esparció todos sus hijos por todas las tierras de Judá y de Benjamín, y por todas las ciudades fuertes, y dióles vituallas en abundancia, y pidió muchas mujeres.

And he dealt wisely, and dispersed of all his children throughout all the countries of Judah and Benjamin, unto every fenced city: and he gave them victual in abundance. And he desired many wives.
