Cuando el Señor vio que se habían humillado, mandó a Semaías a decirles: «Por cuanto ustedes se han humillado, no los destruiré, sino que dentro de poco tiempo los voy a librar. No permitiré que Sisac ejecute el castigo que había planeado contra ustedes, los que viven en Jerusalén.
Y como vió Jehová que se habían humillado, fué palabra de Jehová á Semeías, diciendo: Hanse humillado; no los destruiré; antes los salvaré en breve, y no se derramará mi ira contra Jerusalem por mano de Sisac.
