De modo que Judá, descansando en la seguridad del Señor, Dios de sus padres, derrotó a Israel, y persiguió a las tropas del rey Jeroboán y tomó algunas de sus ciudades: Betel, Jesaná, Efraín y sus alrededores.

Así fueron humillados los hijos de Israel en aquel tiempo: mas los hijos de Judá se fortificaron, porque se apoyaban en Jehová el Dios de sus padres.
